Shoes and the Zoo. Lucas has been very interested in putting on our shoes lately. Here are some of his best shots! Daddy's shoes are cool.. But Mommy's shoes are the BEST! The shoes don't even have to match. Or have to be on the right foot.they are still awesome! Lucas loved the elephants. So much more fun sitting on top of Daddy's shoulders. I am a bad blogger. I have been extremely busy this summer and haven't had a chance to blog. The Little Gil Family. Saturday, March 21, 2009. Every time I see that gummy little smile, my heart literally melts! The first time he smiled I was changing his diaper on the sofa making the usual silly faces and sounds, then suddenly there it was! I nearly cried it was so cute! The other day I went out for a much needed spa day (thanks honey! And left him with grammy (Chris’s mom). When I came home, he looked at me and gave a huge, knowing grin! He knows who I am! Birth of Austin John Samuel. Finally, a moment to update the blog. It has been a whirlwind of a month for me. I was hospitalized for preterm labor for 8 days, then a week on bed rest, and then off of all meds and most restrictions by 36 weeks. The Little Gil Family. Monday, April 6, 2009. Here's my little man at almost eight weeks old! I can't believe he's gotten so big so fast! We put him in his bumbo the other day to see if he would be able to sit up and voila! We did have to put a few pillows behind his head to keep it from falling back but we're very proud! The Little Gil Family. Tuesday, May 26, 2009. Last week Ashton, Alissa, my mother-in-law Shriley and I flew to Chicago to visit my mom's side of the family. We had a wonderful trip! The flight was smooth, Ashton and cousin Alissa did so well! We spent precious time with the great-grandparents and great Uncle Les and went sight seeing downtown.
