Sunday, June 21, 2009. For several years, each summer the Cardinals appear at our home. I decided to take a few pictures today. They have grown very comfortable with us and even though I zoomed in for the pictures, for the most part they don't seem too frightened of us. They say when you get older, you start to appreciate the small things in life. I guess that is true because it is so fun to see the birds and nature existing in our own backyard. Friday, January 8, 2010. Christmas at the Link's. We started our Christmas family gathering sharing lunch together. The adults were at the big table and the children at the kid's table in the game room. After lunch we all gathered around the Christmas tree for our gift exchange. Emma ready to lend a helping hand to Preston. Emma with her new soft foot warmers. Ellie looking for a gift with her name. Peyton after opening his new ipod from Grammy and Granddaddy. A New School Year. Today was the first day of school! We now have a big 3rd grader and a Pre-K 4 year old. At Peyton's school the 3rd grade teachers are team-teaching this year. We feel very fortunate that one of Peyton's teachers (his main teacher) is the same wonderful lady that taught him last year. Yippee! The other teacher taught our niece last year.
