Crosspost! It’s a Small World After All | Thoughts from Underneath a Phillies Cap
https://seanmaguire16.wordpress.com/2012/05/19/crosspost2
List of Awesome Things. It’s a Small World After All. May 19, 2012. Posted by Sean in Meh (other things off the top of my head). Life is funny sometimes. And Austria is hot. Go Phillies. Today, we packed up from Munich and headed off to Linz, via Salzburg. While on the train to Salzburg, i saw a guy wearing a black Phillies varsity jacket. Phillies, man Baseball, I pointed to my hat, then his jacket. He exclaimed, as we high-fived. I asked, Hey Do! These guys are from California! He said to me, Where at?

List of Awesome Things. List of Awesome Things. This is a rolling list of things that are awesome. The only order they are in is the order in which they came into my head. Some are simple, some are complex. Explanations will come eventually. 4 The first hit with a new baseball bat. 5 Hitting a baseball as hard as you can. 8 The high-cuffed pants and stirrup-sock look. 10 Kevin Millwood’s no-hitter. 11 The 2011 Phillies. 12 The 2010 Phillies. 13 The 2008 Phillies. 14 The 2009 Phillies. 16 The number 16.
Why Blow It Up? | Thoughts from Underneath a Phillies Cap
https://seanmaguire16.wordpress.com/2013/06/06/why-blow-it-up
List of Awesome Things. Why Blow It Up? June 6, 2013. Posted by Sean in Sports (and other things relating to sports). And that’s just on the mound. Dom Brown is quite obviously lighting it up, Utley’s not done yet, and Galvis and Hernandez still have more to prove. The Phillies aren’t going to win the World Series with the roster as is, but I think they’re closer than people give them credit for. Why should they blow it up? Why not retool and continue to take a shot? No comments yet — be the first.
Arena Baseball | Thoughts from Underneath a Phillies Cap
https://seanmaguire16.wordpress.com/arena-baseball
List of Awesome Things. Originally posted on Phillies.tk. This is an idea I’ve had for years now. I first thought it up when I went to see an arena football game (which is. By the way). After the thrill of the game, I thought,. Is played indoors, nowadays. Except baseball. I wonder why not. I should do that. Balls in play in the outfield can only be touched by the outfielder whose section the ball is in. This rule no longer applies once the ball hits the ground. Noncompliance of this rule results...Woode...
Crosspost! Fuechse! Stomp Stomp Stomp | Thoughts from Underneath a Phillies Cap

List of Awesome Things. May 30, 2012. Posted by Sean in Burritos (and other awesome things). Sports (and other things relating to sports). Handball is basically the greatest thing ever, I wish it were this big in America…. Original here: http:/ wordpress.philau.edu/germany2012/2012/05/30/fuechse-stomp-stomp-stomp/. Today I experienced what was perhaps the greatest thing ever on this trip. Team Handball. So naturally, when I found out that handball is relatively big over here, I had to catch a game. Once ...
New Stats | Thoughts from Underneath a Phillies Cap
https://seanmaguire16.wordpress.com/new-stats
List of Awesome Things. Originally posted on Phillies.tk. This is one of my numerous “inventive ideas” I’ve had regarding baseball. Most of them I came up with on the top of my head, and are probably useless in a productive manner (Bill James calls them “frivilities”). Anyways, the stats used by them are from games I’ve seen in the 2008 season, through July 1st. I’ll try and get stats for the whole season eventually. Catcher Wins and Losses. Notes: Limitless stat (means there is no maximum or minimum)...

Google SketchUp Stadiums | Thoughts from Underneath a Phillies Cap
https://seanmaguire16.wordpress.com/google-sketchup-stadiums
List of Awesome Things. Originally posted on Phillies.tk. These are all stadiums/arenas that I made in the Google Sketchup program. I’ll update it as soon as I make a new one. Project I: Philadelphia Park. Project II: Baseball Arena. I drew this one for Arena Baseball, which is featured on it’s own page. Project III: Brickhouse Park. Project IV: Schoppet Stadium. NOTE: The retired numbers above the bullpen don’t display ones properly, for whatever reason. Project V: San Jose Ballpark. You are commenting ...
Crosspost! Nürnberg | Thoughts from Underneath a Phillies Cap
https://seanmaguire16.wordpress.com/2012/05/19/crosspost-nurnberg
List of Awesome Things. May 19, 2012. Posted by Sean in Burritos (and other awesome things). Or not. I don’t know. So it turns out, Nuremburg (or Nürnberg in German) is in Bavaria and not in Austria, like I first thought. I guess I should brush up on my European Geography some more. Hitler’s told his chief architect, Albert Speer, to design the buildings after Greek, and Roman Classical buildings (particularly the Coliseum in this case), and to make them on an enormous scale. And because it was built...

List of Awesome Things. Because I Am Here, and He Is Not. May 17, 2012. Posted by Sean in Burritos (and other awesome things). Day 3 of my European Vacation. I didn’t get lost this time. Frau Brenner: You know, this used to be Hitler’s favorite restaurant. Michelle: Woah How can you still come here? How can you come here knowing that? Frau Brenner: Because I am here, and he is not. I did not read it personally, but Frau Brenner wrote a book called. The Song is Over. Which is available on Amazon. Things I...

Monday, July 20, 2009. So, rather than just making a blog to whine about it whenever I get banned, I'm going to go outside that box today and write on some different things. I'm just going to summarize a few posts I've read over the past few weeks on 99chan. One of the things that makes our imageboard better is the posts, or rather the lack of. People on 99chan tend not to post when it's not needed, and when they do, they usually make an extra effort to make any bad thread viable. Wednesday, July 1, 2009.
