Plastic Soldiers | Harold King
http://haroldking.info/portfolio/plastic-soldiers
This is by far one of my most ambitious projects to date. After my band The Fever Dreams. In 2007, I immediately teamed up with my good friend and fellow video enthusiast Ramsey Midani to take on what was supposed to be a realistically ambitious stop-motion music video. We clearly weren’t thinking all that realistically however, because between work, music, and school it took just over two years to complete. To build a fake kitchen in Ramsey’s garage; a rental home in south Austin. I took a nightwatchmen...

Vector Graphics | Harold King
http://haroldking.info/portfolio/vector
This is an example of an existing raster graphic I recreated in vector format for use on posters and flyers. Once created, I can resize the logo without any loss in quality and cleanly fill it with any color I choose. Admittedly took me a long time to wrap my head around. When I worked at a screen printing shop. Over the years I’ve recreated, manipulated, and designed vector graphics in Fireworks, Illustrator, GIMP, and Vegas as well. I’m now the “go-to guy” at Stone Solutions. Butler School of Music.

Country Music in 2013 | Harold King
http://haroldking.info/country-music-in-2013
Country Music in 2013. On 23 Dec, 2013. Well, either country fans know what they like, or the hit machine has managed to sneak a few by us! From the perspective of a songwriter, I love how formulaic country music is these days (it makes it easy), but who’s to say there isn’t a hint of elusive charm to each individual track? Definitely food for thought. Butler School of Music. The Texas Music Office. Health Alliance for Austin Musicians.

T-Shirts | Harold King

The above images are all t-shirt graphics I designed or helped design. I’ve designed many more, but these were actually printed and distributed. More graphics and logos can be seen here. In high school I was still at it, and one day my athlete friends introduced me to a store across the street where they heat-pressed names and numbers onto jerseys. I walked over to inquired about print supplies, but, when I told the owner what I was up to, he offered me a job on the spot. I worked at RockSports.

Helping out over at Orb Recording Studios | Harold King
http://haroldking.info/orb-ssl
Helping out over at Orb Recording Studios. On 4 Nov, 2013. What a fun day! I helped the guys at Orb Recording Studios. Move in their SSL G-Series console and ginormous Ocean Way monitors. These things were all HUGE! Supposedly the board weighs over 1,200 lbs and it was quite a challenge to relocate. It was previously installed in a Canadian broadcast facility and it’ll be a great match with those monitors. Looking forward to hearing them in action this spring. Paul White from Fathom Tree Studios.
