Monday, December 26, 2005. Leading a service on Christmas day is very weird. When I woke up instead of instantly thinking 'hooray its christmas! I was so excited about the fact there were at least 5 of us engaging in a conversation about Neighbours (including Matthew who has threatened to sack me before coz he's caught me wathcing it! Such a breakthrough - nothing can stop us now! Posted by Lou at 9:23 am. Links to this post. Monday, February 20, 2006. So what did we get up to in Conrwall?

In fact I'm sure it was a fire hazard - if there was a fire it would've taken aaaaages to wheel all those old dears out! However, God is nice and the service seemed to go well (one of my fav old ladies told me afterwards 'You did a lot better than I was expecting you to, dear' I'm not sure whether or not to take that as a compliment!

Monday, May 29, 2006. What are Sunday afternoons for? Yesterday, I spent quite some time talking to Daphne, whose 97 and whose daughter is in the home with her, in a a far worse off state than she is. How heartbreaking that must be for her. Homes are places that are full of pain. What can we offer, how can we identify? Posted by Lou at 5:09 pm. Links to this post. Sound of Musoc - whats the deal? Or maybe I'm just not cultured enough! Monday, March 13, 2006. Random musings from the last week. God is faithful even when I'm faithless - and he really does respond to the cry 'I believe! I sadly live in a very white middle class area, so I find it weird to be in the racial minority. Feeling a bit like the teacher in 'Dangerous Minds' is quite a cool expereince. God can work through Homer Simpson (weak and foolish thing again? I love being in places where its not weird to walk up to people and go 'So, what do you believe? Links to this post.

I'm working at the brilliant Rock Baptist church (as far as I can tell full of some of the lovelist people in the world! Posted by Lou at 10:24 pm. Links to this post. Friday, August 26, 2005. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Mt 6:33 KJV. Jesus did not get mad…. Jesus did not get mad…. I have spent the last year or so wondering how anyone could be betrayed, ridiculed, lied about, flogged, teased and ultimately nailed to a cross without speaking up or getting angry. Recently, I realized just how Jesus was able to endure all that He took without speaking up or fighting back in anger. He did not get angry. He got sad.
