Tough, Tender, and Teachable: January 2012
http://navcad.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html
Tough, Tender, and Teachable. Tuesday, January 31, 2012. Approximately sixty years ago, it was my good fortune in the providence of God to be adjudicated by the Juvenile Court of MN and placed under the supervision of a Probation Officer whose name I cannot recall and who subsequently effected my residence in The Victory Farm for Boys in Ortonville, MN. The ministry of the Victory Farm for Boys did not last long after my departure in 1955; maybe another 5 years. May their tribe increase. Many years ago, ...

Tough, Tender, and Teachable: July 2011
http://navcad.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
Tough, Tender, and Teachable. Saturday, July 9, 2011. Have you given thought to the subjectivity of the New Covenant Imperatives? We know, via the Old Covenant, certain parameters relative to “loving God”: 1) He is to be Supreme, 2) We are prohibited from using images to represent Him, and 3) we are to “sanctify” His Name. Those represent the negative side, that is the “thou shalt nots”. But, what of the “shalt” side? Yet, is this not the very side whereby we “judge one another”? Might it not be the case...

Tough, Tender, and Teachable: Mad Dog of the Middle East
http://navcad.blogspot.com/2012/03/mad-dog-of-middle-east.html
Tough, Tender, and Teachable. Tuesday, March 6, 2012. Mad Dog of the Middle East. Observing our President abjectly demonstrating obeisance to a foreign dignitary, it dawned on me where the real politick power lies. No, it is not Achmadinnejad, though he is a bull in a china closet or maybe a rabid dog running wild. But, in comparative terms he is a piker compared to Benyamin Netanyahu. Maybe, this is ultimately for the long-term best. Oh, well; we live and hopefully learn. Been thinking: I find it intere...

Tough, Tender, and Teachable: Couldn’t put it down!
http://navcad.blogspot.com/2010/09/couldnt-put-it-down.html
Tough, Tender, and Teachable. Saturday, September 18, 2010. Couldn’t put it down! Seeds of Turmoil: The Biblical Roots of the Inevitable Crisis in the Middle East,. From the opening sentence to the end of the book, my attention never waned. Though I believe myself to be well informed on the situation, biblically and historically, the narrative and development was such that I didn’t want to pass quickly over any part! Tough, Tender, and Teachable. Tuesday, August 14, 2012. De ja vu all over again In the early 1980s, while pastoring a local church and participating in the Christian Action Council. My mind has been stirred, afresh. What might God have in store for me? View the video and ask God to enable you to ". think without confusion, clearly. Thursday, August 2, 2012. Tough, Tender, and Teachable: What's In An Example?
http://navcad.blogspot.com/2010/06/whats-in-example.html
Tough, Tender, and Teachable. Thursday, June 10, 2010. What's In An Example? Forty-Five years ago it was my good fortune to meet band of godly, disciplined believers who instilled in me three fundamental disciplines of the Christian life:. 1) Daily devotional life. 2) Disciplined Bible reading. 3) Systematic Bible study. At the time, the disciplines seemed awesome, but their example was motivating and whet my appetite and I purposed to develop those disciplines. Their Lives were the means God used. Obser...

Tough, Tender, and Teachable: Long Time-No Comment
http://navcad.blogspot.com/2012/04/long-time-no-comment.html
Tough, Tender, and Teachable. Thursday, April 19, 2012. Wow Have we not gradually slipped into Tyranny? Being 70 years of age, I recall the freedoms I had back in the 40s. Since then, those more equal than myself have defined and proscribe my "freedoms" such that I am now a Serf. In the vernacular, Wassup? When, in God's good providence will a legion of Shamgars rise? The sooner, the better, since my days have been determined. Big, Dumb, and Ugly. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Why am I surprised?

Tough, Tender, and Teachable: Ron Paul and Reality
http://navcad.blogspot.com/2012/04/ron-paul-and-reality.html
Tough, Tender, and Teachable. Thursday, April 19, 2012. Ron Paul and Reality. Thank God, a measure of reality has returned to the political spectrum. But, for how long? No longer are voters governed by our version of Pravada or Investia, known as the corporate or government lackeys. Until the statists close down the airways, a venue dedicated to alternative views of reality will plague statists til they are pressed to quelch any and all dissent. Tough, Tender, and Teachable: Now What?
http://navcad.blogspot.com/2012/04/now-what.html
Tough, Tender, and Teachable. Thursday, April 19, 2012. Shamgar, what do you have to teach us? Is there anything we can draw form you model? Well, in my limited understanding let me suggest three things not original with me;. 1) Shamger did what he could. 2) Shamgar did what he could, where he was. Shamger did what he could with what he had. This is precisely what Caesar fears. He is trapped in Bureaucratic thinking whereas the mindset of "free market folk" stymie him, hence our long-term advantage.
