Wednesday, January 13, 2010. Oh this little girl. Azalea no longer sits in her high chair that is connected to the table. Now that she is a "big girl" she chooses to sit in a regular chair with the rest of us, happily perched atop a gigantic phone book. Finally we have a use for that thing. She's also taken to wearing that hat around the house all day long which is a fashion statement her father and I can really get behind. Me: Zayley, what should mommy make for dinner tonight? Z: Ka-corn (nods solemnly).

Sunday, November 15, 2009. We had another big snow storm this weekend. Church was cancelled and we had a great day bumming around in our pajamas. When Nate went out to shovel the driveway, I decided that it would be a great time to dress Azalea up in the new snow suit that Grandma Nina gave her. I was, however, mistaken. We'll probably need to get her some gloves. Or some socks wrapped in grocery sacks. I'm sure she'll like it more once she forgets what a swim suit is right? Thursday, November 5, 2009.

Tuesday, October 27, 2009. I see a few speech clients on Mondays so Nate stays home to take care of Azalea. Yesterday I arrived home to this scene:. It's all just opening up cans and browning hamburger, so it's really fast and easy. So, for any of you who might be interested, here's the recipe:. 1 can pinto beans. 1 can black beans. 1 can mexican-style tomatoes. 1 lb ground beef, browned (I sometimes use just a 1/2 pound). 1 packet dry taco seasoning. 1 packet dry ranch dressing mix.

This year, we got to take Kristin's family to Oahu, HI! It was so fun! We got to snorkel with sea turtles, octopus, and lots of other neat fish. We were there during whale season and got to see some spectacular breeches. We went to a luau, and enjoyed the beautiful beaches.
