Good reading for a traveler. This was a good book for reading on the long flights across the Pacific. It was well written and light enough content that I could stay with it through all the interruptions and discomforts of a seat on an airliner. My wife said, “Your reading about a plane crash when we are doing all this flying? It’s amazing the impact we can have on teenagers. Captain Sully was a very matter of fact kind of guy. May 27, 2010. Saturday May 15 I attended New Spring Church in Wichita (K-96 and 21st). I have met Pastor Hoover on occasion and also had conversations with a variety of people who attend New Spring. Now it was my opportunity to check it out for myself. The pastor’s message was right on. Pastor Hoover spoke about how we can know the Bible is true. He made a solid case for the truth and reliability of the Bible. I liked the way he invited people to accept Christ at the end of the message. May 15, 2010.

May 28, 2010. Since I’m going to be hitting the road to Wichita several times a week I figured an economical car was what I needed. Traded the pickup for a 2004 Honda Civic 4 door sedan with a 5 speed stick shift. I love it and it gets somewhere between 37 and 40 mpg. My daughter also loves it! Found out the car is minus a jack for when I have a flat. Other than that I look forward to driving past a lot of gas stations. Travel – Mission trip. Make Firm the Feeble Knee. Eye Hath Not Seen.

Visitor comfort in museums and other public spaces. The Menil Collection, Houston, TX. May 24, 2015. On a recent visit to Houston, we had a chance to visit the Menil Collection. I had two major beefs. First, the labels are tiny and low-contrast — virtually unreadable unless you get right close up. Second, the Menil has a bad case of We’re An Art Museum, So No One Gets to Sit Down. Galleries were woefully short of seating, for no good reason that I could see except It Clashes With the Look.
