BOYD – Case studies. B4RN, Broadband For the Rural North, is a project aiming to get connectivity in isolated rural areas. As part of this, they also organise training, on an informal basis, for local people. All the courses are planned and run by volunteers, normally on an ad-hoc basis. The biggest issue is connectivity. B4ARN have laid their own fibre to provide the main village with wireless broadband and also use WiBEs to achieve connectivity away from the wireless area. It is great to see that The Skills Funding Agency in England have now offered some clarity on their position around the famous FELTAG 10%. In the last few months a few hares have been set running through rumour and even ‘rumours of rumours ‘. Issued yesterday the Agency offered clarity on what they feel will constitute the 10% of delivery online.

Friday, February 27, 2015. 1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature. 3/4 c sour cream. 1/2 teaspoon baking soda. 1 Cream the butter and sugar together until fluffy then add sour cream. 2 Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. 3 Meanwhile, mix the dry ingredients together in a separate bowl. 4 Add the vanilla to the creamed mixture and then slowly add the dry ingredients. 5 Press into a greased 13 x 18 inch pan and bake at 375F for 10-15 minutes. 4 cups powdered sugar. 5 Chill and cut.
