Stitching Daze

My Huge Work in Progress List! My Shamelessly Huge WIP List! Monday, August 10, 2015. I ended up working double shifts again. After I was promised that I wouldn't have to do any more. So from the 3rd to the 9th, I had very little stitching time. Which completely sucked. :C Bleh. But I did get a little done, so here we go! On the 1st, I had picked up a UFO. I was fooling myself that it was a WIP, but a bit of research showed me I haven't worked on it since 2010, so yup - it's a UFO. And this one was not i...

Stitching Daze: A Report on Little Projects

http://stitchingdaze.blogspot.com/2015/07/a-report-on-little-projects.html

My Huge Work in Progress List! 2016 Book Reading Challenge. Monday, July 20, 2015. A Report on Little Projects. This post will include finishes, a start, an old WIP, stash, and the bunny story! First off - I finished 'The Great Light' on 7-17-15:. It came out really pretty! That makes 4 out of 7 of Bucilla's 'Christmas Promises' kits done. Here are the three I have left in my stash:. To work on next. It is 'Three Kings' from the 1988 Gloria and Pat freebie pattern leaflet. And now for a Bunny Story!

Stitching Daze: July 2015

http://stitchingdaze.blogspot.com/2015_07_01_archive.html

My Huge Work in Progress List! 2016 Book Reading Challenge. Friday, July 31, 2015. I Forgot to Post! Sorry, I have been a bit under the weather for the past little while - I did stitch, although not as much as I had been, and I completely forgot about posting. Ah, well! On the 20th I picked up 'Unspoken'. Here's his before pic:. And his after pic:. I got two columns a little over half done - for some reason I chose to work over twenty stitches instead of in columns of ten. I dunno why :D. To work on next...

My Huge Work in Progress List! 2016 Book Reading Challenge. Sunday, May 31, 2015. A Little Stitching Progress, and a revived UFO. I am SO FAR BEHIND on reading blog posts and commenting, but I will be using this week to catch up! My feedly list is bursting at the seams :D I've discovered Flosstube videos - I never knew that was a thing! And I've been fascinated! Anyway, I've been stitching some. Here's my update on Unspoken - last time:. April that I forgot to post here, but wasn't much:. My second finis...

Stitching Daze: Worth the Wait

http://stitchingdaze.blogspot.com/2015/05/worth-wait.html

My Huge Work in Progress List! 2016 Book Reading Challenge. Wednesday, May 13, 2015. Haven't posted in a few days - it's been busy and stressful but I'll not go in to that right now! I have been stitching; I'll try to post about that tomorrow. A couple of weeks ago I started reading this blog. Anyway, I got one of the feeders as I only had a place to hang one big one (so far) and filled it with seeds and suet blocks and put it out. And finally, early this morning, after a week of nothing, I got a visitor.

The Stitching Reaper: June 2015

http://stitchingreaper.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html

You reap what you sew! Tuesday, June 30, 2015. Where's All the Stitching Time Gone? Seriously though, I blink and suddenly June is over. Whoops! It’s been rather busy here lately with plenty of other distractions but I do have a few updates. The Winter Lady just has one more section before her dress is complete! Let’s hope she can somehow keep me cool now that summer is officially starting haha! Must get back to this one …. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). And seeing new places :-). View my complete profile.

The Stitching Reaper: April Stitches

http://stitchingreaper.blogspot.com/2015/04/april-stitches.html

You reap what you sew! Sunday, April 19, 2015. I finished the pink block of my blackwork sampler at last! Although it’s difficult to see each section has two shades of pink in it. Here’s a close up of the different patterns. The four shades I chose are all part of the same pink family, but I thought they would differentiate themselves a bit more than they actually do. I’m going to do the connecting motifs in the same brown as the border and I think that should set off all the colors nicely. The last two ...

The Stitching Reaper: December 2014

http://stitchingreaper.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html

You reap what you sew! Wednesday, December 31, 2014. I thought I’d end the year by showing my final finish. Here’s this year’s Christmas ornament for my mom:. This is Santa in a cupcake, designed by Lucie Heaton. Of course, he may not end up as an ornament (my mom’s gift for me this year became a coaster) but that’s still to be decided. I’m still working on finalizing my stitching goals for next year. I’m already looking forward to some new starts I’ve got planned. Friday, December 5, 2014. Can you guess...

The Stitching Reaper: July 2014

http://stitchingreaper.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html

You reap what you sew! Monday, July 14, 2014. Well jump back, I actually came through on what I said previously, haha! I’ve finished all the metallic silver stitching on the Summer Lady. It doesn’t necessarily show up well in the photo, but the silver comprises the outer border and the edges of her dress and sleeve. I even managed to make a start on the gold metallic stitching, but so far it’s not proving as cooperative. Good thing there isn’t as much of it! Have a great stitching week! I'm Back and Fizz...

The Stitching Reaper: May 2014

http://stitchingreaper.blogspot.com/2014_05_01_archive.html

You reap what you sew! Saturday, May 24, 2014. Samurai and Summer Lady. Distracty things have been distracting me of late. I thought I’d better make a post before I forgot what I had done, haha! Here’s what I did during the first part of the month:. The second sleeve on the Samurai is finished! I even moved onto the bit of tree on the right but it’s still a work in progress. Just the left half and the gold to go now. Have a great stitching week! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). And seeing new places :-).

The Stitching Reaper: Slo(w)th Update

http://stitchingreaper.blogspot.com/2015/07/slowth-update.html

You reap what you sew! Friday, July 24, 2015. Well it’s been awhile since I’ve shown my progress on Sloth. As the title suggests visible progress seems very slow in the making. However, here’s where I’m at:. I have now forayed into a third pattern page (pg #7) and have stitched down 100 rows. Yay! I made a two part stitching goal for this project this year and I’m very excited as I’ll actually end up accomplishing it. I’m already thinking of expanding this method to some of the other sins next year.

The Stitching Reaper: Wintery Mother's Day

http://stitchingreaper.blogspot.com/2015/05/wintery-mothers-day.html

You reap what you sew! Monday, May 11, 2015. I’ve another update on the Winter Lady today which seems appropriate given that it snowed Saturday into Sunday. It is spring now right? I know it is, as the snow had all melted by the end of the day. More of her dress has been completed! I’m working on the largest section right now, so it’ll be a bit before that’s done. Still I was surprised that there is only one more section to go after this. Hey, another square on London is done! May 11, 2015 at 8:55 PM.

The Stitching Reaper: Mid-March Update

http://stitchingreaper.blogspot.com/2015/03/mid-march-update.html

You reap what you sew! Tuesday, March 17, 2015. I have completed another figure on my Sailor Moon piece so I thought I’d do a quick update. This is Princess Kakyuu, the Fireball Princess, a friend and ally of the Sailor Scouts. Another confetti filled figure, but I really enjoyed working with the colors in her dress. March 18, 2015 at 12:44 AM. Cute Sailor Moon finish and I love your take on Save the Stitches! March 28, 2015 at 7:45 AM. April 23, 2016 at 11:32 PM. Im loving the Princess Kakyuu sprite!

Deb's Stitching and Other Fun Things

Current Works in Progress. Tuesday, August 11, 2015. Halloween Stitching and More. First step was to wrap the feather boas around the grapevine wreath. So far so good. I think nine ornaments will work nicely, so I started stitching. I love these little kits. They are really cute and stitch up very quickly. I finished five of them in July. Mill Hill Beaded Ornament Kits. And I couldn't wait to put them on the wreath, so I took a break from stitching. I love how this is turning out! Designer - Val's Stuff.
