Monday, May 19, 2008. Eileen won 1st place for women students in the Bowling Tournament - using alley balls and shoes! The trophy was a PURPLE bowling pin! Sandy Bell and Kusum Neal were on hand to congratulate her. As the Stewart Home's newest student, Eileen had her own van and special part in the parade after opening ceremonies. Tuesday, July 8, 2008. Visit from Gerry Ferry. Eileen has had several visitors recently, including both her brothers. One of Eileen's favorite people in the whole world - Gerry Ferry. Stopped by in June and the two of them were off to Lexington to visit the Kentucky Horse Park and the International Museum of the Horse. Sandy Bell places the crown on the new Queen's head! Eileen got to rein over the Homecoming events. She was "almost" speechless when she called to tell me about this honor. Tuesday, January 13, 2009. Thanksgiving and Christmas 2008. Eileen spent Thanksgiving with Nancy and Larry in the Sacramento, California area; then she flew to North Carolina and was with Gerry, Doug and Travis Ferry for Christmas. A coast-to-coast-holiday for our gal! After Christmas, Eileen visited "Mayberry" and got to ride in Andy Griffith's cop car. COOL! We saw some beautiful Holiday decorations. Eileen and gifts in the Fire Chief's car! Eileen and Fire Chief Mikesell - they are the best of friends.
