I chose a wool/cotton batting and a new, to me, pantograph: Curls by Beany Girl Quilts. I'm excited about the overall effect, it's nice to have this one ready to bind. He asked. My sweet daughter in law brought the two youngest grandchildren to play while she loaded up Snowbird with a baby quilt for a friend and quilted the afternoon away. Who stopped by for a visit! Up until yesterday I thought that the squirrels were the biggest problem I had at the bird feeders;. Oh, was I ever wrong! We have those same kinds of visitors . . . and they DO love birdseed. And loving how many I was making. I pieced a top for my second daughter's birthday and two copies for Project Linus. By Brannock and Patek. I don't like that the red from the 4 patch touches another red. So I plan to have all the 4 patches be composed of 2 blue and 2 brown fabrics. I am using layer cakes and a bit of yardage, so I have enough fabric to not have to rip out this block. Stay tuned for more progress. No finishes to post...

Saturday, August 1, 2015. I made hamburger buns! I am preparing for winter. I have 40#'s of bread flour in the freezer. Also 5 #'s of yeast are there waiting. I seem to have bread making down pat.
