Sharon's crafty musings: I'm back
http://sharonscraftymusings.blogspot.com/2012/11/im-back.html
Monday, 5 November 2012. Hello again. It's taken a while but I'm back. This is how it looked before I painted it when I first moved it into the newly painted dining room. Just look at that iron burn on my carpet, not to mention the white paint.sigh! Can't afford to replace it so a bit of disguising is in order. Here is the base of the dresser, all ready to be painted. I was so sick of painting it that I never even thought to take any progress photos.sorry. So glad its finished. Laid out on the floor for ...

Di @ Willowbeck Designs: Bee blocking
http://willowbeckdesigns.blogspot.com/2014/02/bee-blocking.html
Tuesday, 11 February 2014. Today has been all about doing some of my bee blocks. I am in three bees and it is a bit of a juggle sometimes, although I have three times the fun each month. In the Bee a Brit Stingy. Bee, lovely Emily. Has asked for log cabin blocks. She is going to add them to the ones already made by her other bee. She is going to have one massive and beautiful quilt once it is all pieced. This log cabin block was a challenge of a 'fabricy' kind. 11 February 2014 at 17:17. 11 February 2014...

Adventures in Sewing, Quilting and juggling the life fantastic. Friday, 4 October 2013. An EPP update - WIP. SO way back in June I showed a couple of pics of a little starflower block that I was making. I did a little bit more over the summer, but revisited it properly about 2 weeks ago, added some more on and now it looks like this - all ready to be stitched onto a backing, then quilted and made into a gorgeous cushion. One of the classes I did was an EPP class with Katy from I'maGingerMonkey. Time is s...

Susy's Needle: A Bag for the Summer
http://susysneedle.blogspot.com/2013/06/a-bag-for-summer.html
Adventures in Sewing, Quilting and juggling the life fantastic. Sunday, 2 June 2013. A Bag for the Summer. How fantastic to see the sun out properly over the last few days - and it's set to continue this week so I've got windows open and letting the sounds of evening bird song fill the house. One of my frustrations has been accurate piecing, getting those corners or points to line up and sit nicely. I saw Katy's picture. Quite quickly I had a piece of patchwork fabric about 20" x 12" and just knew that t...

Adventures in Sewing, Quilting and juggling the life fantastic. Monday, 3 June 2013. Sewing on the Go. We've just spent a few days away with friends at a Festival. Although lovely in part it's also hard work with kids - especially the camping bit! The weather was fab - look at those blue skies! And I even found time to squeeze in a little bit of sewing, with a simple starflower English Paper Piecing (EPP) project. This is in preparation for this months Make Do and Mend session in Exeter ( details here.

Susy's Needle: The First
http://susysneedle.blogspot.com/2013/05/the-first.html
Adventures in Sewing, Quilting and juggling the life fantastic. Friday, 10 May 2013. Well, actually I think I've started this about 20 times so maybe this will be the first one that I say "publish" to! Yes, it's a blog! It's my blog because I love reading other peoples and have learnt so much from them and want somewhere that I can blather on about what I love doing. It's called Susy's Needle because my daughter was very insistent about it, she's 7 so I do exactly as she says. 10 May 2013 at 07:13. Don't...
