February 2, 2011. Since December I’ve been doing a lot of barbell. And clean and jerks. I’ve also played around with the barbell snatch. But it still feels really awkward for me. One of the results of all of this is that I’ve been experimenting with the hook grip, which I had seen but never tried. I like it, sometimes, although I do a lot of grip work, so whenever I can avoid the hook grip, I usually do. If I can hold onto a bar normally, I probably will. Tagged as: barbell hook grip.

Growing Stronger by Doing Better. Sunday, January 30, 2011. My goal was four training sessions this week. Today I got in number four. Score! Circuit - 5 Rounds - 23 min. - 36,412 lbs. Waiter Press - 12 kg. Left - 37 reps, Right - 45 reps. Inverted Rows - TRX. 66 reps = 6600 lbs. Swings - 160 lbs. 173 reps = 27,680 lbs. I did sets of 20 and 17 reps. The most I'd done before was 15. I did the Body Weight 500 workout today and shaved 4 min. 30 seconds off my previous time. I'm pretty pleased with that performance. I think the difference was I didn't rest between rounds. We had a wonderful time! From then on we were able to have some good quality time w Lauren and Beau! I loved walking behind Lauren and watching her "waddle"! We saw pictures of her during her pregnancy But seeing her in person was "priceless"! Due date came and gone! Well we know The Lord is in total control and Guinevere!
