Thistle and Bee | jbcamera
https://jbcamera.wordpress.com/2015/07/30/thistle-and-bee
Just another WordPress.com site. The Thistle is another flower we work so hard to keep out of our lawn and garden, we rarely stop to appreciate its beauty. The bees and Goldfinches love them, so I was pleased to find some growing next to the lake on our morning walk. Came across a Bumblebee when photographing the thistle blooms, and he was kind enough to stick around till I got some good shots. This entry was posted on July 30, 2015 by jbcamera. It was filed under Nature. And was tagged with Bumblebees.

Just another WordPress.com site. There has been a lot of ice lately….it’s freezing COLD outside! But ice is so beautiful, making the world look so magical. Thank goodness I am looking at it through the window, and not standing outside. January 23, 2014 at 1:22 pm. It was very beautiful, especially when the sun came out. Thanks for commenting. Just another WordPress.com site. Day Trip to Applewood. Last Sunday I was feeling lonely and at loose ends, so I decided to take myself out for the afternoon. A friend had posted photos on Facebook of a visit she had made to Applewood Estate, and I realized this lovely place was less than an hour from my home. It is the former home of the Mott Family, who have generously turned over the lovely house and grounds to a philanthropic organization, making it available to the general public. When the diagnosis...

Just another WordPress.com site. Staghorn Sumac is fruiting in the Park, and Swamp Milkweed is in bud next to the Lake. We are finally getting a break from the rain, and we hope to take delivery of our hay on Monday, if the weather holds. We are keeping our fingers crossed. Queen Anne’s Lace. No special plans for the Holiday Weekend, but we hope to catch a fireworks display at one of our nearby lakes. Will mostly be taking advantage of the drier weather to catch up on some outside chores.

No trails 2 leave. Diary of a Lone Traveller. The Art of Letting Go! Image courtsey: http:/ imamon.deviantart.com/art/let-go-57498623. For someone of my sorts, we always think about what we have and what we want, we never really think about others or their needs and demands. A little thought about this will let us have a bright side to our thoughts. Will I be needing that money that I’m planning to invest in near future for something that is more important? The earlier one didn’t break the. And try even ...

Fur and Feathers | jbcamera
https://jbcamera.wordpress.com/2015/07/11/fur-and-feathers
Just another WordPress.com site. I have learned I am not patient enough to be much of a wildlife photographer, but sometimes I get lucky. This rabbit has made its home under the spruce trees in our front garden, and was not the least bothered by me and my camera as I snapped away. A few weeks ago, we came upon this family of Canada Geese and I managed a few shots before they swam away, complaining loudly at being disturbed. The babies are all grown up now, and hard to distinguish from the parents. Leave ...

Sunday, December 11, 2011. SIDS stands for sudden infant death syndrome. This term describes the sudden, unexplained death of an infant younger than 1 year of age. Some people call SIDS "crib death" because many babies who die of SIDS are found in their cribs. But, cribs don't cause SIDS. What should I know about SIDS? Health care providers don't know exactly what causes SIDS, but they do know:. Babies sleep safer on their backs. Babies who sleep on or under soft bedding are more likely to die of SIDS.

Friday, May 14, 2010. How to make recycled rings. As promised, I'm showing you how to make the Anna Banana recycled rings. You start with pulling the ring off the o.j. or half and half. Here's the back view. Now, cut the ring off with a pair of sharp scissors making sure you don't cut the ring itself. Then, get your ribbon ready. Turn on hot glue gun and twist the ribbon a few inches. I use a clothes pin to hold it. Add a little dab of glue to the very center, and place your first twist there. I have had ...
