THE FAMILY SCHELIN: Costumes you should NEVER let your children wear!!!
http://thefamilyschelin.blogspot.com/2010/10/costumes-you-should-never-let-your.html
Friday, October 29, 2010. Costumes you should NEVER let your children wear! Yes World War 2 was a long time ago but no you can’t dress your kid up like Hitler. I doubt this kid will win any costume prizes unless he is attending a Ku Klux Klan Halloween party…. Which leads right into the next one. It’s possible there are some ghost costumes out there that have been mis-interpreted but I’m pretty sure this mom knew exactly the look she was going for. Ok actually I think this one is a little cute!

25 Things I’ve Learned in Intern Year. On: March 26, 2012. So I’m about 3/4 done with my intern year and…what can I say. I’ve learned a lot, and not just about medicine as well. Here is a short list of things that I’ve learned…oftentimes the hard way. 1 Residency is a carbon copy of high school. There are just as much cliques, dramas, backstabbing, and sleeping around. And you thought we were professionals. HA! 2 Scrub techs are there to make your life miserable. Period. 12 Meth methhead = burn center.

Why I Love…. On: June 12, 2010. As some of you might know, the Wonder Girls recently kicked off the North American leg of their Wonder Girls tour. In select cities, their opening acts included 2AM or 2PM. Did you guys read that? Me with my ticket! In the venue…it was so packed! Me and AH before the concert. I was kinda expecting there to be some sort of introduction from JYP, like in the NYC concerts, but it didn’t happen. Anyway, once the lights turn on, I just went like 0 0! I wanted to have his babies...

Notes from the Curry Trail. A gringo girl with a hopeless crush on all things curry. As some of you know, I applied for a foreign clerkship on the South African Constitutional Court. More than a year ago. Fortuitously, then- Justice Albie Sachs. Selected me to serve as a clerk for his successor on the Court, Justice van der Westhuizen. The Con Court is a truly inspirational place, and I was extremely humbled when I visited it with my family last December. The Court is described. The Great African Steps.

Durban Red Curry (or, Mother-in-law’s tongue) | Notes from the Curry Trail

Notes from the Curry Trail. A gringo girl with a hopeless crush on all things curry. Durban Red Curry (or, Mother-in-law’s tongue). Before I knew I would be going to South Africa in December, one of my requests for my mom (who was there in August) was to bring back some Durban red curry powder. Now, I realize using curry powder is frowned upon by “authentic” curry enthusiasts, but I was curious to compare the Durban-style curry blend with what is typically used in the U.S. And let me tell you, it is HOT!
