Friday, February 18, 2011. Off to Quito, Ecuador. We are now sitting at the Cuzco airport waiting to board the flight to Lima. Only to sit there for three hours waiting to board the flight for Quito. We are in Quito for 2 days and I hope we have a chance to come up for air. At least be able to wash the traveling underpants! We will soon meet the rest of the group who will join us in Quito for the main tour. I think there are 3 or 4 of them. Machu Pichu was the optional pre-trip. Map: Quito Canton, Ecuador.

Friday, March 27, 2015. Be It Ever So Humble. There's no place like home. Finally made it into the house at 2 am! Coming from Japan, all this seemed incredulous to us. Their systems run much more efficiently. Avoiding JFK whenever possible in the future. At least our car service guy was there for us when we came outside. Sunday, September 25, 2011. The Buda and The Pest. Tried to sleep in a bit longer. Not having much of a plan, we started out on foot to explore our final city. The Danube divides the city in two - Buda on one side, Pest on the other. We hiked to the bridge but before crossing over we walked up the Citadel and took a peek into the church carved into the rock. Great photo ops from high on top. We all split up tomorrow. Sunday, February 13, 2011. So, I am sitting here typing and resting and hoping the Celtics are whipping the Heat. Later. Just listened to the end of the game streaming WEEI - technology is a wonderful thing. Celtics beat Miami 85-82. They ROCK! Back in the lobby, ran into Cora who notified us that Rusty was not feeling well. Hope he recovers soon. Also hope those other people get their luggage at the airport tomorrow. Monday, September 26, 2011. The Long Road Home. When we had our fill we hopped on the right tram that went directly to the hotel. Guess it must be time to go, we have the metro system down pat now. A quick shower and we checked out of our last hotel. Took a taxi to the airport, where we are now sitting and waiting because, guess what? We are looking forward to sleeping in our own bed tonight.
