Venice to Vienna →. Venezia, Seconda parte. We had to give it a go. I had the vegetarian lasagna. Phil ordered the pumpkin and ricotta flan. And our table enjoyed a liter of house wine. Somehow our group failed to realize that a liter of wine is actually more than the average bottle of wine (750 ml). Plus only 3 out of the 4 of us would be drinking. And Eric bailed mid-carafe. Phil and I do not waste great wine so we took one for the team. Young, old, everyone and anyone were out in the square dancing.

June 8, 2015. Ten years ago tomorrow, my sister lived her last day. On a late spring morning taxis accelerated and commuters hurried down the street while she was making her way to work. The earth was tilted toward the sun, approaching its solstice beneath golden rays that take their time in leaving. It was a Thursday. She took no time at all in leaving.
