Thursday, November 11, 2010. These are some things that are hard for me on a daily basis:. Unable to speak Cantonese (or any Chinese dialect, for that matter). Celsius temperature (30 degrees is below freezing in Fahrenheit! Metric scale (Question: how tall am I in centimeters? Traffic flow (driving on the left also often applies to entrances and walkways: walk on the left side). School grading scale (A's are never given). I also miss having a car but no biggie. Sunday, November 14, 2010. Why Asians are so thin. I've always wondered why the majority of Asians are healthy and slim. My dad also was curious, and told me to try to find out their secrets. So, I present you what I have learned so far. Keep in mind, my findings are based on Hong Kong people, and do not necessarily apply to other Asians. Everyone is skinny. Everyone - old and young, men and women, rich and poor. Not just slender, they are tiny! Maybe they just all have small bones? Why Asians are so thin.

Friday, December 10, 2010. I've still got sand in my shoes. Back in Hong Kong from the Philippines. It was hard to leave Paradise, but returning to Hong Kong actually felt like I was coming home. I guess I am pretty adjusted to my life here! But nowhere near as small as the airport when I landed in Caticlan. That one was just a tiny building and one runway. Okay, I won't bore you with too many details of the rest of the trip, but show you a few pictures of paradise instead. Ive still got sand in my shoes.
