http://flipflopsx3.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html
The Flip Flop Girls. Friday, November 15, 2013. Nothing Exciting - Just About Walking. This morning while dropping off the girls at school, I had, what I thought, was an interesting short conversation with a lady. Since there are sooo many more vehicles dropping off kids in the morning, the school started having parent volunteers help out in the morning during the drop-off time. They help direct the traffic and get the kids out of the vehicles, so that the vehicles can keep moving more efficiently. It ha...

The Flip Flop Girls: DIY - Outdoor Swing Canopy
http://flipflopsx3.blogspot.com/2014/06/diy-outdoor-swing-canopy.html
The Flip Flop Girls. Friday, June 6, 2014. DIY - Outdoor Swing Canopy. I don't remember how long we've had our outdoor swing, but it was definitely showing its age. Last year we had to replace the cushions, and this year the canopy needed replacement. The big question was do I try to make one myself or find a replacement on the internet? After searching, I did find a possible replacement, but it was out of stock and with shipping added to the cost, the price was a bit high. The top of the canopy. Do You ...

It's so hard to believe that Allyson has finally reached middle school, but I guess you can't stop time from marching on :). Here are a few pictures from this morning. I told them to be silly . . . Can you tell who the one who said she wasn't nervous but was excited? Time to be more proper :). My Middle School girl.

It's so hard to believe that this is Allyson's final year at Model Elementary! And, for the record, my friend is having a phenomenal impact. Unfortunately, many of us get stuck in certa...

A peek into Deanna's not so exciting life. Saturday, May 11, 2013. Service of Lament and Hope. Have you ever really thought about how dependent we are on oil? We use it to power our cars, it is used to make products - especially plastics, as well as many other things. Have you thought about how oil gets from one place to another once it gets taken out of the ground? You probably don't think too much about these things until they hit a little close to home. Passing out strips of cloth/painting. A while ag...
