Sutton Birding: Local megas this spring (so far): Pied Fly and Bittern

http://suttonbirding.blogspot.com/2012/05/local-megas-this-spring-so-far-pied-fly.html

Thursday, 3 May 2012. Local megas this spring (so far): Pied Fly and Bittern. One of the highlights of the spring was the male Pied Flycatcher at Pages Acre at Canons Farm on April 21st, but there was an under two hour window between it being found and it last being seen in which to rush over and see the bird so many were disappointed. This was the first (almost) twitchable local area bird for nearly ten years. Canons Farm and Banstead Woods. MEGA: Trip of DOTTERELS.

Tim's Birding Blog

Wednesday, 12 August 2015. West Bexington - Wed 12 Aug. Late on Saturday afternoon news broke of an immature Black Stork. So when I woke up this morning I kept a close eye on Twitter and the pager and as soon as news came out that the Black Stork. Had been relocated in a stubble field west of West Bexington village I set off for the coast. Forty minutes later I pulled off the road overlooking the village to scan the area, and there it was! Now I just want to state that there are some great pictures of th...

Sutton Blood DNA

Sutton Family DNA Project. Elcome to my family's site. Legend has it that we are descended from Scottish lines although the archives, Census, church records and DNA testing lead me to believe that our origin stems from Norman (Danish Viking-Frank) ancestry with over eight hundred years of heritage in the southern part of Ireland (Co. Wexford). Finding the heritage before Ireland 1169 (The ORIGIN) With help of DNA. Information soon to be published.
