Forest Tots: April 2012
http://foresttots.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html
How did we do it? Main Forest Tots Website. Sunday, 29 April 2012. It's a drought (didn't you realise? It has rained here just about all day so we thought we'd take advantage of a brief break in the deluge to get the kids outside.and see if the FT garden was flooded at the same time. So this is what we found. If water levels are this high the stream if most definitely too high for Tots to play in - it was just below my knees! Maybe we need to start planning some dry/non stream activities.just in case!
Forest Tots: Start of the Summer term.
http://foresttots.blogspot.com/2013/04/start-of-summer-term.html
How did we do it? Main Forest Tots Website. Friday, 12 April 2013. Start of the Summer term. The start of the Summer term (or the coming of the Spring weather, which ever comes first) always comes as a bit of a shock to the regular Forest Tots crew. For months on end it is just us and the stream and the mud. Quiet. Still. Safe even, in that familiar, same as always, sort of way. And then the start of the Great British Summer arrives. But that slightly crazier than normal feeling is. During the build of t...
Forest Tots: Our Roundhouse.
http://foresttots.blogspot.com/2013/04/our-roundhouse.html
How did we do it? Main Forest Tots Website. Thursday, 4 April 2013. Oooh you lot are so impatient ;) But due to popular demand I have made the time to show you how the roundhouse is being build now, and save the finished photos for, well, when it's finished! The course has been spread over 10 days. These first photos were taken on day 2, when the roundhouse had already been paced and marked out on the ground and the frames were well underway. Laying out the foundation ring.. Planning the roof structure.
Forest Tots: March 2012
http://foresttots.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html
How did we do it? Main Forest Tots Website. Friday, 30 March 2012. We didn't have a fire this week, but the log circle was still well used, and the smell of wild garlic was unavoidable, and wonderful! We brought some water up from the stream for the smaller ones to play in, and apparently it was a bit of a hit! There was still splashing in the stream with the older ones, but there was a definite feeling of the lazy summer afternoons to come. Friday, 23 March 2012. Busy I mean it was. As a mother of three...
Forest Tots: Garden Painting.
http://foresttots.blogspot.com/2012/03/garden-painting.html
How did we do it? Main Forest Tots Website. Tuesday, 13 March 2012. Painting with really little kids can be hard work. I'm sure if you've ever tried it you know how this goes. 1 You get all the paints out into the little pots, find brushes and paper, cover the table to keep it clean and dress your tot in a painting apron. (Time taken - about 20 mins). 2 Your Tot sits at the table, daubs paint all over a piece of paper until it has a wet hole in it. (Time taken - about 5 minutes.). Time taken - 10 minutes).
Forest Tots: January 2013
http://foresttots.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
How did we do it? Main Forest Tots Website. Friday, 25 January 2013. Snowy Tots and a Tiny Tot Too. Last week we had to take the rather unusual decision to cancel Forest Tots, not so much because of the weather, but because of the condition of the roads round here! So it was a relief to get back into the woods today, and extra special that the snow is still lying on the ground. We lit the fire as a priority (and cheated and used fire lighters! Forest Tots: May 2012
http://foresttots.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html
How did we do it? Main Forest Tots Website. Monday, 14 May 2012. And a few Dads too). Hen, Meg and I gathered in the garden for a pre Tots picnic on Friday and it was simply beautiful. The beech leaves are just out, all soft and pale green. The birds were singing.it was just what I needed after a crazy busy week! Then slowly the hoards descended. Tots is really busy at the moment, we are getting a minimum of twenty families every week, rain or shine! Climbing up and down the banks, hiding in the bushes.
Forest Tots: A post full of smiles.
http://foresttots.blogspot.com/2013/04/oh-me-oh-my-i-think-smiles-on-faces-of.html
How did we do it? Main Forest Tots Website. Saturday, 6 April 2013. A post full of smiles. Oh me oh My! I think the smiles on the faces of the small folk say everything I might want to say, yet so much more eloquently than I could ever manage. So today the photos can do the talking! Forest Tots: September 2012
http://foresttots.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html
How did we do it? Main Forest Tots Website. Wednesday, 5 September 2012. Forest Tots is back on Friday (7th September). We have a new fire pit to play with so I think marshmallows are on the cards ;o). The stream is currently dry due to the building works going on further down the marsh :o( on the bright side I guess we now have one of those dry creek beds that early years outdoor practitioners get so excited about! Maybe it will even be fun? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Promote your Page too. Then submit...

Swains' World
Thursday, January 5, 2017. This December has been a fun, busy, and overall fantastic Christmas season! First of all, here are our official Christmas card pictures (which were technically taken in November.). One night in December we made the LONG trek ( 20 minutes) to Chick-fil-a in Vidalia. Where we were excited to discover we could send a letter to Santa! Then we drove by some Christmas lights where we found what was probably the boys' favorite individual light display of the year. But back to Christma...
