Tiger Cub's face when we told him his dad is a non-practicing rocket scientist. Some shuttle or something. Queens Hall of Science outing. Neighborhood "pumpkin patch.". When it's hot in October we put on shorts and go to Central Park! The giant bubble man. We were standing very close! December 23, 2016 at 3:15 PM. Solid ...

Transitioning from carefree travelers to responsible parents. Monday, May 30, 2016. R Family Does Florida. For the annual R Family vacation, we had a perfect week at Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. We rented a house RIGHT ON THE BEACH! And had a wonderful week of family, great views, wonderful food, and kiddie antics. We have about 65832 pics (that's just Randy and me) from the week but I pared it down to a mere four dozen. The kids checking out the place. Family photo in the front yard. High end family dinn...

Transitioning from carefree travelers to responsible parents. Sunday, November 8, 2015. With Mom sporting a 35 week bump, Tiger Cub decided to take a last minute trip to his grandparents house. Next time, as with any good big brother, he'll have responsibilities. Pop-Doc and Gigi were thrilled to see him and Tiger Cub made the most of his last trip south as an only child. Hey Tiger, you have to go to bed first, and there is no need to stowaway. We bought you a ticket. It can wear a young fellow out though.

Transitioning from carefree travelers to responsible parents. Friday, January 29, 2016. Parenting these two little guys has been lots of craziness but also many tender moments. So of course we photograph and share the times that make us look like we've got this gig under control. Baby's first visit to Rockefeller Center. On this bitterly cold day we watched the skaters while sitting inside and sipping coffee. What is it about a baby wearing daddy that makes the ladies swoon? Blizzard of the century!

Transitioning from carefree travelers to responsible parents. Sunday, July 31, 2016. July was a big month for visitors! Grandma came to see us. She watched the kids and took on other valuable chores. Our apartment is always at it's cleanest when Grandma is here, which is one of the reasons she is always welcome. Grandma took Tiger Cub to his first movie, Finding Dory. The movie and popcorn were both a hit. Randy's brother and sister-in-law came to NYC with their family for vacation! Sunset at the pier.

Transitioning from carefree travelers to responsible parents. Thursday, October 6, 2016. Life in Queens: Getting Around. The biggest thing we get questioned about regarding living in NYC is getting by without a car (we haven't owned one for the past 9 years). It's un-American for sure but totally doable - and maybe even recommended - in this city. Within our community, everything that isn't our jobs and can't be outsourced to Amazon is within walking distance: grocery stores, parks, church, Chipotle.

Transitioning from carefree travelers to responsible parents. Wednesday, December 30, 2015. Since welcoming our newest addition, Small Bear (online alias - not his real name), we have enjoyed a laid-back and unambitious holiday season. Before kids I thought keeping plants alive was a challenge! So it's no surprise that parenting two small humans is completely exhausting. And we're not even out-numbered. Grandma and the two little munchkins. Pop Doc also visited from Georgia and came bearing gifts, which ...

Transitioning from carefree travelers to responsible parents. Sunday, February 28, 2016. Georgia Visit Part II. After leaving Grandma and Grandpa's. In Northwest Georgia, we headed to see the R family in Northeast Georgia. Our many good times included. Communal eating (mostly eating in because.4 kids under 5). Lots and lots of quality play time among the cousins. Opening Christmas gifts on a February morning (because why not? Family car rides where everyone was in a satisfactory mood. And it's a wrap!
