A swan to be knits and spins. Laquo; Ping…. March 26, 2010 by Cynthia. With two boys I see very little pink. Orange, yes. Brown, certainly. Blue, in profusion. Pink? Notsomuch. It’s no wonder I’ve been choosing pink yarns and fibers the last few years. My current (and only) WIP is Ice Queen. From the Winter 07 Knitty. I’m doing the 60 bead version, instead of the insane 300 bead one. I picked up the beads from the Twisted Sisters. Somewhere around row 40 of chart A. Again, forgive the camera phone pic.

The etsy store of my friend Jess. And got an extra little bit of joy in my package:. On April 11, 2009 at 10:34 am. It’s good to hear f...

A swan to be knits and spins. April 9, 2010 by Cynthia. Somehow I got sucked into a really great deal. When my friend Lisa came to visit after Elliot’s birth we did the usual yarn crawl. At this avalanche-prone yarn store, The Yarn Barn. She surfaced with something like six balls of the Jo Sharp Rare Comfort. Her deal? She buys the yarn and gives half to me. Her half becomes whatever lacy thing I want, my half becomes an Ice Queen. For her. Who wouldn’t take that deal? An attempt at some pattern detail.

A swan-to-be knits and knits and knits and knits. The end of the semester is here, and I am scrambling to get assignments in. At this point, turning them in on time is a major accomplishment, and it sadly is one I'm not always achieving. ( Julie. I am here for another reason, though. I'm overdue in blogging about this:. This is the Wing of the Swan shawl knit for me by the matchless Knitter Bunny. Last Saturday night Mr. Cygknit and I attended a play co-starring Terry. She has more pictures here. What a ...

A swan-to-be knits and knits and knits and knits. Late to the party. My last meme (ok, my last post) generated some questions about what memes are,. They are, and exactly how different they are from the old chain letters that used to come in the mail. This was good, as I love researching obscure and unimportant things, especially when those things take me away from more important things. Like homework. So, when I read Mamacate. S request, then saw this spread across tons. Write a post, and ping here.

A swan-to-be knits and knits and knits and knits. You just won't believe me. I have been dying to make this post, and I think I'm finally ready to. By some bizarre confulence of events, I have internet access, a free few minutes, and a big story to tell. If you don't want to read all this, skip down to the good part, ok? Remembering to book us a room for the weekend. No big deal, right? Lots of rooms available in the Berkshires in the height of Summer. So I stopped rolling my eyes. Huge, I tell you. ...
