Over the course of the 3-day swim meet this weekend, there will be a lot of standing and walking on the pool deck, and not much time or energy for training. But I will try to do some "hotel room" crossfit workouts to keep myself feeling good and sharp. We can be heroes.just for one day. Monday, February 13, 2012. Now that's it's over. My high school swim coaching season ended this past weekend with the state championships meet. The season ended on a high note, with my swimmers all doing very well at the regional meet the weekend before, and then we had nice squad of swimmers make it to States, and we had an excellent showing there. Monday, November 5, 2012. I did another track workout, similar to one I did a couple weeks ago. We can be heroes.just for one day. Saturday, September 8, 2012. I've started doing a new weekly workout: the crossfit run challenge, modeled after the Rare 10k Crossfit Challenge. Which I did for the first time this past Spring and finished 2nd. Well, I'm already getting motivated for next year's edition, and doing my own version of the race each week is a perfect preparation, in addition to the separate running, crossfit activities, and strength training I'm also doing. 1/2 mile hilly trail run. Awesome...

Getting the best of both worlds! Thursday, May 9, 2013. Ari found an excellent Macklemore-style long coat with a fur lining. I found a way-too-small pink puffy coat with a fur lining and some blue jeggings. It was $%#$ing awesome! My spandex Bacon Suit and handlebar mustache were also awesome, and I got extra crowd support the whole way. Gotta try to find a photo…. I struggled to step on and off curbs for the rest of the day, and walking down stairs hurt for about a week. No other races on my calendar ye...
