Mike and Carlee: DINOSAURS!
http://mikeandcarlee.blogspot.com/2014/04/dinosaurs.html
Sunday, April 6, 2014. USU has a 'Science Unwrapped' night every once in a while on campus and we decided to go check it out with Mike's little brother this past Friday. It was simply delightful. I was prepared to be super bored, but it was actually really interesting and luckily the lady giving the lecture was super funny. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). 365 Days of Crockpot. Mike and Carlee: January 2012
http://mikeandcarlee.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html
Sunday, January 22, 2012. For quite some time, I have needed my wisdom teeth out and I had avoided this fact like the plague for the last 3 years until I started to feel a lot of pressure on all of my teeth. I decided in December it was probably time to take the plunge and get this done. They took me into the recovery room and I sat and texted things to my mom since my mouth was chuck full of gauze and I felt pretty coherent. I was worried before the surgery that I would be like this guy. And now Mike is...

Mike and Carlee: Vernal Tourney
http://mikeandcarlee.blogspot.com/2014/04/vernal-tourney.html
Sunday, April 6, 2014. Last weekend, I was able to go play in the Split Mountain Volleyball Tournament in Vernal. Even though it was in Vernal, it was actually a huge tournament and there were over 50 teams. I was lucky enough to be asked by my friend Melissa to play and we had a blast! We had such a fun team. We placed 4th and barely missed placing 3rd by losing 13-15 in the 3rd game :( Oh well. Maybe next year! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). 365 Days of Crockpot. Eat skinny, Be skinny.

Mike and Carlee: December 2013
http://mikeandcarlee.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html
Friday, December 27, 2013. I have to apologize for the gigantic gap in blogging. There are only 2 reasons for this: 1) I don't feel like there has been anything necessarily exciting or eventful in our lives in the past 6 months other than working and school and 2) I'm simply a slacker. Something exciting DID happen this month though, so of course, I'm blogging about it. and semi-bragging about it, which I hope isn't too snobbish. Like I said, it isn't every day something is worth blogging about. Mike, Ch...

Sometimes I Write for Real: March 2014
http://douglaurel.blogspot.com/2014_03_01_archive.html
Sometimes I Write for Real. Friday, March 21, 2014. Still, this wasn’t enough; so Royal added to his workday the duties of a delivery boy for the James Shelmardine Hat Company—Esther sewing on the hat bands at night. Later, Royal worked as a cash boy and general helper at the palatial Auerbach’s Department Store. What change did Royal crave in 1890 at age 30? What made him consider leaving Salt Lake City—the only home he’d ever known? Elizabeth proclaimed that no place in Salt Lake City would feel like &...

Sometimes I Write for Real: January 2015
http://douglaurel.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Sometimes I Write for Real. Sunday, January 4, 2015. He was calm and still, just watching and observing a brown horse all alone in a big pasture. This surprised me. Ethan is scared of so many things—why wasn't the sight of this enormous horse walking toward him making him run for cover? But Ethan just watched. Calm and quiet. Connecting. Ew, horse spit. Hard at work for the horse. Ethan meticulously picked grass for over an hour. I thought about it for a minute. But then, snapped to. "No! With even your ...

Sometimes I Write for Real. Monday, May 12, 2014. Not a bad message from one photograph. The oldest 4-generation picture in my family. The young boy is my grandfather, and the three women represent his three-generation maternal line. A 4-generation picture on my dad's side. That's my sister on my great-grandmother's lap, my paternal grandma in blue, and my dad in back. (Taken in 1972). Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. I belong to the LDS Church. Sometimes I Write for Real: February 2015
http://douglaurel.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Sometimes I Write for Real. Tuesday, February 3, 2015. When 1970s Barbie Comes to Visit. Looking at my old Barbies makes me feel old. Twenty years have gone by since I last pulled out my Barbies and looked at them. I think I forgot what a time capsule they really are. The clothes styles, the modesty, the good natured-ness of Barbie back then. My daughter's Barbies are all mini-skirts, heavy make-up, spiked stilettos, and attitude. But my Barbie has painted-on underwear. Wanted her to be. Subscribe to: Po...

Mike and Carlee: December 2012
http://mikeandcarlee.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
Sunday, December 16, 2012. Now the lighting in my apartment is horrible so these pictures don't look that fabulous. New Dresser for our bedroom. I loved the hardware so I just spray painted it brown. It reminds me a pretzels. Since I already had the blue paint, I decided to paint the dresser (the one I was telling you about from earier) that doesn't fit anything in it. After that, I slapped an add on KSL and a family bought it from us to put in their little boy's room. If anyone is in the need of a dress...
