Eventually it is smooth, slow sailing but sailing nonetheless. The scenery is beautiful. Possibly the best trail I have done yet...I thought...

http://lenatravel.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
The travel blog that isn't necessarily about travel. Friday, 27 November 2009. Thanksgiving 2009: 10 Things. 1 I am thankful for a beautiful world and getting to see bits of it. 2 I am thankful I found my overpriced Lancome eyeliner that I thought I’d accidentally thrown away. 3 I am thankful for miracles. 4 I am thankful my house didn’t burn down either from cooking or leaving my straightener on. 5 I am thankful for all the babies expected in summer 2010 by my good friends and family. Once I was with a ...

http://lenatravel.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
The travel blog that isn't necessarily about travel. Wednesday, 24 March 2010. Typed as they come. 1 So I’m going to do the 100 thoughts thing again. 2 It was pretty popular last time, and Jessica did it again and reminded me. 3 She’s really witty. 4 I’m worried that I only HAVE 100 thoughts total, so won’t have much to write. 5 And it might be like trying to remake.hm. 6 Can’t think of famous movie with bad remake. 7 See, have lost mojo already. 11 There you go. 13 Health reform=Change, suckas! 29 ̶...

Lena Travels: March 2011
http://lenatravel.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
The travel blog that isn't necessarily about travel. Thursday, 31 March 2011. I walked into the hotel, and a well-dressed woman took one look at me, dripping wet, and turned to her husband. “We’re taking a cab.”. Chicago didn’t live up to the horror stories about the weather, on the whole. It was sunny and bright most of the time, and rained instead of snowed the rest. And in other aspects, it more than lived up to its rep. From there I met my friend Julie and we headed off to see As You Like it at the N...

The travel blog that isn't necessarily about travel. Tuesday, 4 January 2011. Lena is Extremely Courageous. Walking out of the changing room might have been the bravest thing I’ve ever done. OK, honestly, it probably wasn’t. But IT FELT LIKE IT. But I did it. Several of us did it. We so crazy! 5 January 2011 at 12:28. I saw those photos. Lena Travels: My Nan
http://lenatravel.blogspot.com/2011/02/my-nan.html
The travel blog that isn't necessarily about travel. Monday, 7 February 2011. We called her Nanny Alice because my brother Anthony was the eldest of her grandchildren and that’s what he could say. So my toddler brother’s lack of articulation created a name we all used. She wrote poetry, and worked hard, and believed in being glamourous and in getting her hands dirty. She served others endlessly. She was unshockable. What a wonderful tribute, Lena! Im crying at my desk at work! 10 February 2011 at 13:46.
