I took the Monday off and we went to Greenwich for the afternoon, spending much of it wandering round the Greenwich Observatory. The centre of Gloucester is pretty compact and just a couple of street away are the docks (GLoucester used to be a fairly large port on the Severn). The former industrial area has been turned into a shopping and pedestrian areas, with a couple of decent museums. As in Beatrix Potter fame. 2015 Week Notes 18.

Friday, July 31, 2009. We started today with a lunch at McDonald's. Even in England, little boys love McDonald's! They had Ice Age toys, which were perfect since Ryan is in a bit of a dinosaur mode. I had a Cadbury's caramel flavored shake - yum! We then went to play cricket at Rufford Park. After that, we went to Sherwood Forest. Home of Robin Hood! On Tuesday, we went to Derby. Wednesday was our rainiest day yet. It rained consistently all day, which made it not much good for anything outdoors....Today...
