Sunday, September 25, 2011. All the stories we heard said that twins come early. Most are delivered by 38 weeks, and depending what statistic you read, the average gestation of twins is somewhere between 35 and 37 weeks. So, we were prepared for the babies to arrive weeks ago. Much to our surprise (and to the benefit of our babies), they have managed to stay in all the way to 39 weeks! I read that the average gestation of a singleton baby is 39.3 weeks!
