Much to our surprise (and to the benefit of our babies), they have managed to stay in all the way to 39 weeks! I read that the average gestation of a singleton baby is 39.3 weeks! Friday, March 11, 2011. Finding out we were pregnant with twins was quite a surprise. A little shocking at first, but ultimately delightful! Much to our excitement, we saw both heartbeats! Our doc was so encouraged by what he saw that he officially "released" me from his care and told me to find an OB to take care of me through the pregnancy. How exciting! And a little nerve-wracking. I had grown accustomed to this office, the staff, and the kind of care I got. Sowe are still pregnant!
