Vietnamese born grandma who wishes to blog with young people. Friday, September 28, 2007. A bowl of "pho" anyone? I have grandchildren, from 19 down to 10. I'm blessed that we live together. The fact that I just created this blog all by myself makes me feel I'm somewhat "with it." Many children often tell me they wish their grandmothers spoke English so they could talk with them. I'm not trying to take the place of anyone's grandma, but just want to listen to all, especially young people.

Last night I attended the opening of the Smithsonian Institute exhibit at VietArt Center in Garden Grove, images of the exodus and resettlement of the Vietnamese refugees brought me back to my first night out of my home, as a refugee.
