Sunday, May 10, 2015. Every Day Treasures: Why Being Mom is Enough. The truth is, these two women would be with me everywhere I go, every day, without these little tokens. But it is nice to have something to hold that helps me remember their love and devotion. I can't think of a better- more meaningful, joyful, or significant- way to spend my life than being a mom. And I am grateful today and every day to have been surrounded all of my life by women who showed me that. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Hinges: December 2014
http://clarkabilly.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Monday, December 15, 2014. We finally got our tree decorated tonight. The tree is not a groomed, symmetrical, farmed fir. None of the ornaments match or coordinate in really anyway, and are thrown on somewhat haphazardly wherever the kids happen to be able to reach. I couldn't love it more. Decorating the tree is always one of my favorite parts of getting ready for Christmas. This simple activity is consistently one of the best reminders of how much love surrounds us. Some Like it Hot: August 2015
http://mclisadar.blogspot.com/2015_08_01_archive.html
Some Like it Hot. Wednesday, August 26, 2015. Homeschool For Baby Girl. It looks like I'll be homeschooling Baby Girl this year. I love my baby girl and I want to do what's best for her. Today I told her that this year I'm going to be her teacher, and she was happy about that, so at least for now it's looking to be a positive experience. And now we get to see if I've got what it takes to do the homeschool thing. I have serious doubts, but maybe I'll surprise myself. Posted by Lisa D. 1) Our inspection re...

Some Like it Hot: April 2015

Some Like it Hot. Tuesday, April 14, 2015. Keep Your Kids Home if They're Sick! This will be a rant post. So all of us were sick again this weekend, with me and the kids being sick for over a week now. We've gotten sick more often up here than we ever did in Arizona, California or Minnesota. I don't think it has so much to do with the Seattle weather as it has to do with both kids being in preschool now and they catch what other sick kids bring to school. And I totally get that kids go stir-crazy when th...

Lifes Goings On: June 2014
http://nateandannah.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html
Saturday, June 7, 2014. We have a problem! Nate and Annah Butterfield. At 4 weeks old, Clara ended up in the hospital with a cold that turned into bronchiolitis. Now Henry and Clara have matching pictures. Poor babies. Nate and Annah Butterfield. Things I love about Baby Clara. Here are a couple of things I love about 6 week to 2 month old baby Clara. The sucking sound she makes when sucking on her fingers or the air. It is somewhere between a clicking sound and a snorting baby pig. Unless you're driving...

Some Like it Hot: Why a House Right Now
http://mclisadar.blogspot.com/2015/08/why-house-now.html
Some Like it Hot. Monday, August 10, 2015. Why a House Right Now. I don't have a lot of pictures of our house yet because there was work that needed to be done on it and I was still trying to decide on decorating ideas for various rooms. This week I'm finishing unpacking- we only have a few more boxes laying around- and putting decorations up on the walls, so I'll take pictures near the end of this week and post them next time. Like we're settled down, and an apartment will never offer me that feeling...

Hinges: Comfort
http://clarkabilly.blogspot.com/2015/05/comfort.html
Tuesday, May 5, 2015. Twelve years ago, I had a seizure. While my brain rebooted itself and I regained consciousness, I couldn't articulate anything, and I was somehow completely aware that if you had asked me what my name was, I couldn't have told you.
