The Tao of Poop: Letting Go of Control as a Mom
http://taoofpoop.blogspot.com/2014/03/letting-go-of-control-as-mom.html
The Tao of Poop. First-time mom blogging about the ups and downs of raising a child. Sunday, March 9, 2014. Letting Go of Control as a Mom. The Demas family had a bad morning getting out of the house the other day. Or, perhaps, it's more accurate to say I had a rough start. As did the weather, which decided to change seasons overnight. Dividing my attention between Claire and locating new clothes in the hinterlands of the closet was not part of my to-do list. What's more, I was shuttling between the bedr...

The fairy and the frog: Playdough mini beasts (bugs)
http://www.thefairyandthefrog.com/2012/07/playdough-mini-beasts-bugs.html
Monday, 30 July 2012. Playdough mini beasts (bugs). The Fairy loves hunting for mini beasts (bugs). The other day when it was too rainy to go outside and hunt, she wanted to make some playdough mini beasts. We took a rainbow full of dough. And created some fabulous mini beasts (with the addition of some pipe cleaner decoration). Amazingly pretty much as soon as we finished the mini beasts making, the sun came out. So we popped over to Grandmas garden for a bug hunt. Look what we found. A worm on a leaf.

Observations of a High-Strung Mommy. Sunday, February 10, 2013. Help for Yelling Moms. BTW- this is NOT a sponsored post! I swear, I have probably Googled "how to stop yelling at your kids" at least 20 times since "stop yelling at kids" debuted on my New Year's Resolutions list back in 2012. So how is it that it's taken me over a year to stumble upon The Orange Rhino. I've identified some of my hot buttons ( when my little guy asks for his third scrambled egg. You're needs are not important! But back to ...

Miss Poppins: Why I Use Big Words With My Kids
http://professorpoppins.blogspot.com/2013/03/why-i-use-big-words-with-my-kids.html
Wednesday, March 20, 2013. Why I Use Big Words With My Kids. Think about this for a moment:. Says that your ability to think a thought depends on knowing words capable of expressing the thought. Or in other words:. If you don’t know the words, you can’t express the thought and you might not even be able to formulate it! So one could argue that a larger vocabulary is directly correlated with higher thought processing! That's a pretty good rea son to expand your voca bulary with your children if you ask me!

That’s been happening a little bit more lately as we’ve been cooped up inside due to the horrendous midwest weather. Last week I taught Isaiah how to felt. I tried a couple of months ago. Back when I was so inspired by the Wisconsin Sheep and Wool Festival. Don’t be afraid to try it, I think it’s something even the most craft-impaired person can do. 12 thoughts on “ Mom.
