Princess Talana's Kingdom: Bad Times are gone!
http://talanaf.blogspot.com/2010/11/bad-times.html
Sunday, November 14, 2010. Bad Times are gone! An update on the major changes in our lives to come soon! Bad times here at the Fairfax household. As of Thursday, Matt unexpectedly lost his job when his company shuttered their doors. They were the whole reason behind our move to Vegas last December, and now we have nothing coming in beyond my disability. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. I have no shoes, but . . . August 1, 2016. I’m going to misquote a quote. I apologize to the writer, but it’s a great quote and helps me get through the day. Its source is mysterious on the web. This is my version, “I felt sorry for myself because I had no shoes until I met a man who had no feet.”. July 28, 2016. The year didnR...

Friday, June 25, 2010. When I can't breathe. When the bills are too much to pay. But nothing is greater than the rage, sadness, and desperation for refuge that I feel when a young child dies of this beast. You fought so hard. Peace and love to your family, as you finally run and play without gasping for breath. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Hello, I'm Talana, I'm 29, married, I have CF, and this is my life. Princess Talana's Kingdom: The Elephant in the Room
http://talanaf.blogspot.com/2010/02/elephant-in-room.html
Wednesday, February 24, 2010. The Elephant in the Room. In reply to the blog:. Vertex is the greatest hope in a long time, but it is still not a cure, and it's unknown what the long term battle with CF will look like with it. Yes, CF sucks. Yes, we need to fight. But hiding the truth, as it now stands, about CF, doesn't make you, or G, or any cystic, any less of a fighter. And in reply to the comment that said I was making the fight harder:. Saturday, January 9, 2010. You may think less of me, but this is what I think. My friend Sarah, posted a link to this blog. Because I would give up my hair, my breasts, even a leg to have a chance at being cured. But it's not that simple with CF. You can live without boobs. You can live without hair, get by without legs. You can't live without lungs. Oh well, you are alive to wear those clothes! So maybe I should make my own meme. what color of mucus are you coughing up today. post the color in y...Hello...

http://talanaf.blogspot.com/2009/12/its-been-awhile.html
Wednesday, December 9, 2009. Several friends have died of CF. Close friends. ones that I'm not sure I am even ready to process their passing, and am frightened about my own well being. one was even healthier than me. before she came down with H1N1. Each deserve their own words, when I am ready. and tonight I am ready to give words to Paul Mooney, lovingly known as Q. Thank you Q, for making me feel like I had some worth. I may even be able to finish that book, in your hono. View my complete profile.

Princess Talana's Kingdom: Silly Canada
http://talanaf.blogspot.com/2010/03/silly-canada.html
Monday, March 22, 2010. When I was a very little girl, I thought that since both Heaven and Washington were up, that clearly, when I looked at the sky, I was looking at the bottom of Washington, and the people in Washington were looking at the bottom of Heaven. Imagine my surprise when I learned that Canada was above Washington, and up meant nothing on a sphere. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. The Porterfields: December 2013
http://laporterfield.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html
Adventures in Life With 2 Boys. Tuesday, December 31, 2013. We went on a few fun treks in May, including a visit to Benicia, day trip to the foothills for a nature walk and taking our first voyage on Papa and Uncle Ryan's new sailboat. I'm so tired, I think I'll sleep right here". Can't wait to do more sailing with the boys next summer! Look out, Tyler at the helm! We started off the month with a trip to Santa Cruz to ride the steam train in the redwoods that I had heard about for some time. It was a...

Adventures in Life With 2 Boys. Sunday, January 5, 2014. Given that we don't like to be out driving around with all the crazy people on this holiday, we stuck around home and spent another fun 4th with neighbors. The kids were even old enough to try sparklers this year! Resting before the fireworks. Tyler helped me make festive patriotic cupcakes.even frosting and decorating his own! Trying sparklers with his friend Mackenna. He began protesting going into the carseat. Stats at his 9 month check up:.

Princess Talana's Kingdom: Ginger
http://talanaf.blogspot.com/2010/01/ginger.html
Wednesday, January 27, 2010. Today Ginger was supposed to turn 29. Instead, her young son and devoted husband spend their first January 27th without her. By all measures, Ginger was healthier than I was. Higher lung function, better weight, and less harmful bacteria. We chatted often at http:/ www.cf2chat.com and I loved her humor and light. On my list of things to do while visiting the inlaws in South Carolina was to meet Ginger. Then she got the swine flu. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
