http://dantatter.blogspot.com/2015/07/the-oval-and-shuttles-now-oval-doily-is.html
The Oval and Shuttles. Now the oval doily is finished. It took a bit longer than I had planned for various reasons. The diameter is around 37 cm. The threads are Lizbeth size 20 - the variegated is Scottish Thisle. It is a bit fiddly to tat because of all those small motifs and they also makes it sort of loose which again requires quite some blocking so it will be flat. I managed to do it but because of those reasons I will not do it again. 24 July, 2015 13:33. Your doily is gorgeous! 24 July, 2015 23:10.

A table cloth and a doily. Some time ago on my Guilds FB-page a tatter showed a picture of a table cloth she's working on. She's on round 15 and all in all there are 19 rounds. The diameter will be 80 cm in size 20 and when it is done she will have done 78.604 ds. Must be such a heirloom when it is finished. N the magazine it says it is reconstructed from a very old table cloth. Very nice work love the color you put into it! 15 June, 2014 13:45. Wow, a tatted tablecloth. Id be too afraid to use it! http://dantatter.blogspot.com/2015/05/a-new-challenge-some-time-back-i-gave.html
Some time back I gave up the Coats challenge. I then started the Renulek doily but put it on hold because the pattern was changed midways and I have not figured out what to do with it yet. I then worked on another big doily but still have the last round to do because something else have turned up. Liyarra and I have agreed to do another challenge here during the month of May. The doily pattern is from the Danish Guilds magazine (an Inga Madsen pattern) and is very much like the Siobhan. 15 May, 2015 19:46.

Dantatters Nook: November 2013
http://dantatter.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html
What a hoot or blast. Yesterday I went to a tatting day for the first time in 3 years in a place close to Copenhagen and what a day I had there. Work to look at and drool over, a few things to buy, something new to learn, some chats and a lot of laughter. I had almost forgotten what a lot of fun it is to go to tat-days. 6 hours are not a lot when you are in a circle of good friends and soon I had to take the train back home after a lovely weekend and a Sunday which was a hoot or a blast.

Once upon a time . Every good fairytale starts this way, but this is not a fairytale but have turned into a UFO - and perhaps almost into a nightmare. I was looking through my blog and stumbled over this doily which I had completely forgotten. This was a challenge given to me in 2009, yes almost 5 years ago. Design by Jan Stawasz and thread is Flora size 20. Manuela, Aida and me. Above are the colours that I bought and I am definitely looking forward to working with this thread, I only tried it a bit dur...

My new threads and the second Stawasz book arrived a couple of weeks ago from Roseground. I really love the new variegated colours and even though I have read a lot of people are having problems with the Lizbeth it seems that I am a lucky tatter because they hardly ever cause me those problems. Most of the book is very large doilies which I will never be able to do, but here and there I see possibilities for choosing smaller parts of them. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). http://dantatter.blogspot.com/2015/03/plans-changed-in-my-previous-posting-i.html
In my previous posting I was talking about a Coats doily that I wanted to do together with a tatting friend. This pattern is so incredible hard to read that I have decided to change my plans and stop doing the doily. It is written in a strange way and I would need a fellow tatter to discuss it with. But that is not an option anymore so this is what I have done of this pattern. To be honest I think it is the first time I have given up doing a doily, lol. Threads are Lizbeth size 20. 04 March, 2015 18:58.
