TatnThreadz: Thanks Mom!
http://tatnthreadz.blogspot.com/2008/07/thanks-mom.html
Tuesday, July 8, 2008. Mom surprised me with two bobbin lace books that she picked up at a library sale for .50! I got Pamela Nottingham's. Bobbin Lace: Form by the Twisting of Cords. I also spent some time learning how to make a lucet braid today. Very fun and easy! It could get very addicting. I think I may pick up another lucet though. The one I bought is great and serves its purpose, but is a little bulky. I think I would like something a little slimmer. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Sharon's Tatted Lace: Are you a shuttle hoarder?
http://sharonstattedlace.blogspot.com/2014/03/are-you-shuttle-hoarder.html
Thursday, March 06, 2014. Are you a shuttle hoarder? I noticed a thread on InTatters in regard to shuttles. Some people have a lot of them. Some people start out with a couple and then they seem to multiply like rabbits. Some people have hundreds of shuttles. There are times when you are making a project that you need pairs of shuttles for working different parts of a design so it's not that difficult for a serious tatter to require 6 or 8 shuttles. Have you sent a spy camera into my house? There are shu...

Sharon's Tatted Lace: Look at all the threads to play with
http://sharonstattedlace.blogspot.com/2014/05/look-at-all-threads-to-play-with.html
Wednesday, May 14, 2014. Look at all the threads to play with. I recently received a wonderful package from Terry Wynn. No. Seriously. A really, really wonderful package. Terry has found that she can't use the really fine threads now and she decided they should go to a good home. See this glorious palette? Making the first one was so much fun. I did another one as a birthday gift for my sister. For that one I use a solid deep blue with a variegated blue/white/yellow. Now that it's done I've selected a ye...

Sharon's Tatted Lace: Blocking, Stiffening and Storing Tatting
http://sharonstattedlace.blogspot.com/2007/04/blocking-stiffening-and-storing-tatting.html
Wednesday, April 11, 2007. Blocking, Stiffening and Storing Tatting. This is going to be a long, wordy, picture free post which I may add pictures to later, but for now I'll just stick it here as a reference tool. So if you're looking for pictures, move along there aren't any here. If you're looking for information, grab a cup of tea, coffee or whatever and sit down and read to your heart's content. Colours can bleed. I did a bunch of the Grace snowflake. I am not as precise as some people who do tatting...

Monday, July 14, 2008. My fancy shuttle winder! There was a discussion on the tatting lists about shuttle winders. So for those who are interested, here is my fancy, high tech shuttle winder . . . . It's cheap, it works and I always have plenty of coffee can lids around. Tuesday, July 8, 2008. Mom surprised me with two bobbin lace books that she picked up at a library sale for .50! http://landoflaces.blogspot.com/2015/04/zadanie-13-wspolna-nauka-frywolitki-w.html
Środa, 1 kwietnia 2015. Zadanie 13 - wspólna nauka frywolitki w wersji gościnnej. Dziś to ja - gościnnie - prezentuję temat frywolitkowego zadania na kolejny miesiąc. Kwiecień. Początek pierwszego prawdziwie wiosennego miesiąca - kocham ten czas! Nadchodzi pora, by wyrzucić z szafy grube ubrania, a wyciągnąć cienkie, lekkie i kolorowe. To też dobry moment na przegląd garderoby i niewielkie odświeżenie posiadanych zestawów. Noś swoje prace - bądź swoją własną reklamą". A przecież kocham frywolitkę! Malutk...
