Sunday, March 27, 2011. Had a nice little weekend at home. We did manage to get out and about a bit though. The weather wasn't great, but at least the sun was shining. As promised earlier in the week, we went to Donutland for breakfast. Is there chocolate on my face? I'll eat mine and then we'll share yours okay? Playing on the steps. I'll take a milk. White. With a bendy straw. Somebody put a waffle fry in the guitar strings. Wasn't us. Me and my ol' lady as they say in those parts. The Best Bar in Iowa.

Yeah, I have pictures of them in their cute little Xmas dresses looking all pretty and cute. But to me, for the kids anyways, Xmas is all about maximizing the amount of time spent in pajamas. The girls are in dance class and are digging it so far. Figured we tried gymnastics, now we'd try dance. They have the whole get-up. Tap shoes, ballet, and tonight they did hip-hop. Monday, June 11, 2012. Last year we tried gymnastics, and that was okay, but this year we tried dancing. It's getting harder to find things for both girls to do together that they both like. I don't anticipate this working out forever. They have very different personalities. I see Ellen getting into sports soon, and Mara will be in the chess club. Whaddya do? Dress Rehearsal for martian hop. Ellen with her pout lip out. Mara rides in Grampa's car. Strange to see such a Hot car sitting in the driveway....

As I mentioned, Brian and I did the New Belgium Urban Assault ride in Des Moines again. It's a fun bike race through the streets of Des Moines that ends with a massive party sponsored by New Belgium.
