http://teacher-wife.blogspot.com/2012/12/dear-teacher-who-has-climbed-mountain.html

Thursday, December 27, 2012. Dear Teacher Who Has Climbed the Mountain,. I would say Merry (belated) Christmas, but it has been so long since I posted that I should be saying Merry Christmas, Happy Thanksgiving, and even Happy Halloween! Fellow teachers, you have climbed the mountain! Whether you feel as though your students just walked through the door for the first time or if you thought you would never make it to this point, our school year is half-way through. Okay So maybe I don't feel that way EVERY.

Elementary Matters: Viva Las Vegas! Part 1

http://www.elementarymatters.com/2013/07/viva-las-vegas-part-1.html

Sunday, July 21, 2013. Last week, I went on the very best trip! I went to Las Vegas to meet up with my teacher/ blogger friends! Many of my blogger friends have been talking about it for months now. There was an I Teach K. Convention out there for Kindergarten teachers, and many were already going out there for the convention, so the meet up was a natural conclusion! I'd never been to Vegas, and I was going to meet people I'd never met before. The buffet was great, but the company was even better! Debbie...

Teaching in Room 6

Science and Social Studies. Body Systems Unit Wrap Up. The systems of the human body, and how they all function together, is a key standard for our fifth graders in science. So, as we wrapped up our unit, I wanted my students to put all the information they learned together into one, all encompassing presentation. So I broke out my trustee computer and created an easy to use template. For my kids to help guide them in reviewing all of the information they had learned throughout the course of our unit.

Teaching in Rwanda

Friday, 31 July 2015. Every time I see my friend, my hand says, Hello. Nkombo Island was our destination today. It started with a trip across the lake in a traditional Rwandan dugout. We were met at the island by many local children of all ages who escorted us to the nursery. At the nursery we were greeted by the singing of the welcome song and then the fun began. There was painting and glitter on a grand scale. We had a fantastic game with the parachute and how the children loved the bubbles! There were...

Teaching in Salvador

Friday, July 24, 2009. SENAC, UFBA and Departure. Wow - it's hard to believe this month has simply flown right by! I leave next Wed., so by all accounts I have only four days left. On Tuesday, at 5PM, I'll be reading fiction and poetry at the Casa Jorge Amado, and from what I've been told, I should expect A LOT of people, as the event is being advertised all over town, and Salvadorians like foreign art. No pressure. Posted by Jesse Waters. Tuesday, July 21, 2009. Here're the pics from last night - enjoy!
