We have done assignments to focus on each part of the eye separately. This painting took three sessions of three hours each, though of course the model gets five minute breaks in between twenty minute sessions, so it wasn’t the entire three hours. I look to the side and we are the only ones on that dark road, in conversation as if sitting at a chai shop. I smile as they speed up and brake away.
