I'm the one who's supposed to be here. You just visit to see if I have anything brilliant to say. I haven't been feeling particularly brilliant lately. Getting ready for Christmas always seems to take it out of me, even when I don't feel particularly pressured or stressed. I hope you all have a fabulous Christmas (pardon me,.

http://teensinthebrary.blogspot.com/2010/11/what-great-excuse.html
Teens in the 'Brary. A blog about library activities for teens. Tuesday, November 30, 2010. What a great excuse! Beginning in January, I will be taking a class titled "Young Adult Materials" in Library School. Yes! I will be formally studying past and present YA books! I love reading them, and now I can do so without feeling guilty about all the time I'm not doing something more productive. They're for. After all. I'm so excited! If you're lucky, I might find time to review them all for you!
Teens in the 'Brary: No-Sew T-Shirt Bag!
http://teensinthebrary.blogspot.com/2012/04/no-sew-t-shirt-bag.html
Teens in the 'Brary. A blog about library activities for teens. Wednesday, April 4, 2012. As a Youth Services person in a small-ish branch library, I work with kids of all ages, but really LOVE working with my Teens. Finding activities for them which are cheap, easy, and fast can be a challenge, but this is one craft which ANYONE (with the ability to wield scissors) can do. Cut off the sleeves to the INside of the seam and as much of the neck as you like to get the size opening you want. Tie a firm knot.

Noshing the Nominees: Roots and Blues: A Celebration, by Arnold Adoff
http://noshingthenominees.blogspot.com/2012/03/roots-and-blues-celebration-by-arnold.html
An exploration of the South Carolina Book Award Nominees (SCBAN). Tuesday, March 13, 2012. Roots and Blues: A Celebration, by Arnold Adoff. Is a book of poems and poetic prose which loosely chronicles the history of blues from its earliest origins on slave ships and plantations through more current years. Adoff's writing style is very visual, with words sometimes d r a w n out along the page,. Sharply, and sometimes jumping from one margin to the other. This many words machine-gunned through close air.

An exploration of the South Carolina Book Award Nominees (SCBAN). Friday, February 26, 2010. I neglected to mention in my mini-review of The Chronicles of Vladimir Tod: Eighth Grade Bites. That Vlad is being hunted. He's a vampire. Of course he's being hunted. Be that as it may, he lives (remains undead? To fight, avoid bullies, and continue having a crush on a girl. http://noshingthenominees.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html
An exploration of the South Carolina Book Award Nominees (SCBAN). Monday, June 28, 2010. A hitch in my plan. I am unable to review the SCBAN books with any regularity from this point forward, as they are in high demand from the students who are actually required to read them. I will continue to post reviews of other books in the Lexington County Public Library System. But not today. Links to this post. Labels: Not a review. Tuesday, June 15, 2010. Noshing the Nominees: Question for you
http://noshingthenominees.blogspot.com/2012/03/question-for-you.html
An exploration of the South Carolina Book Award Nominees (SCBAN). Tuesday, March 13, 2012. I was looking back at past posts and realized I had a (more or less) snappy title for each review. The reviews from this year have not had the benefit of the same, merely being labeled with the title and author of the book under consideration. My question is this: Should I go back to the descriptive post titles or stick with the book titles? Labels: Not a review. March 13, 2012 at 3:10 PM. Teens in the 'Brary.
