Farewell to the Sky Feeder…. October 30, 2014. Sky Feeder got a new name from a passerby who called it a “sky garden”. She was more on the mark than she realized, as I would swear those dowels took root! As I arrived for disassembly, the sun shone briefly through the trees before the rains came…. With the fall leaves, Sky Feeder looked like it really grew right out of the ground. The outer rings required tugging and pulling but largely came loose fairly quickly but these inner rings had to be dug out.

Wild Flowers in Blackwork. Blackwork embroidery is a traditional technique which was very popular in the early Tudor and Elizabethan periods when it was used to decorate garments, bed linen and other household articles. It was worked in dark silk, coloured thread on white or cream linen fabrics, often decorated with a touch of gold or silver gilt thread.
