1 Taking the dogs to the beach. We've been taking our dogs to the beach more often lately and they love all the new scents. I always see the ocean as the destination for our walk, but they don't care and are happy to walk around anywhere. Buying online is so much faster, easier and more relaxing than going to a busy store. Supporting local sellers also means that shipping costs will be lower and there's no customs duties. I made these marbled cupcakes from Vegan Cupcakes Take Over the World. Back in October. I didn't do a great job with the marbling, but they were still delicious and I ate more than my fair share. The icing was a unique concoction made by adding ingredients to some leftover icing I had in the fridge. I love how the piping turned out. Dramatic orange and black handbag. This is the first handbag I made on my new sewing machine. It was a custom order. While I was ironing the pieces before sewing them together, the fabric started wrinkling and pulling out of shape. Luckily it was only the backing that started shrinking and the fabric was perfect again after I removed the backing. The handle is slightly longer than my usual pattern. Thick and Rich Hot Cocoa. One of my other favourite websites is EatingWell. They take regular recipes and change them to be healthier while still tasting good. I made this thick hot cocoa. Today I halved the recipe, used low-fat milk and added a teaspoon of instant coffee, because I've read coffee enhances the chocolate taste. I also added extra sugar for my brother, but it was too sweet for me. Next time I'll stick to the recipe. Fun fact: Cocoa has more anti-oxidants than red wine and green tea. You mi...

Treasure Tuesday # 12 (Carved wooden bowl). This beautiful carved wooden bowl and lid was only R10. There's a few scratches on top, but I'm sure it'll be fine with some wood treatment.
