New Year’s Reading | A Blog Of One's Own
https://tfullard.wordpress.com/2013/01/21/new-years-reading
A Blog Of One's Own. New Year’s Reading. If you’ve been following my reading via this blog or GoodReads, you know I’ve been impressed regularly with Tana French’s mysteries. I particularly liked. But all her books (which also include. Have been hits in my book. Was one of the first books I bought on my new Kindle (Christmas gift from Todd), and I just finished it the other night. It’s not my favorite book of hers, but it certainly kept me turning the pages (or tapping the screen, as it were). Just never ...

https://tfullard.wordpress.com/2012/10/10/read-round-up-blah-edition
A Blog Of One's Own. Read Round-Up (blah edition). I haven’t done a reading round up in a while, and the sad fact is that this one won’t be particularly great. A couple of these books entertained, but none will go down in history as my favorites. I’d Know You Anywhere. I read this one on a recommendation, too, sort of. My sister’s mother-in-law and I are friends on Goodreads, and we tend to like a lot of the same books. She raved about. Witches On the Road Tonight. October 10, 2012 at 11:02 AM. You are c...

The downside is that I won’t have something ready at the end of January. The upside is that I just realized I have Martin Luther King, Jr. Day off on Monday, so with the gift of time I’m hoping to make some good headway. Wish me luck! NaNoWriMo Winner! | A Blog Of One's Own
https://tfullard.wordpress.com/2012/11/27/nanowrimo-winner
A Blog Of One's Own. It’s been silent here on the blog front throughout November, but I have been writing up a storm elsewhere. Along with Laura and Tina, I did NaNoWriMo this year, and tonight I passed the 50,000 word mark, which officially makes me a winner! Read Round-Up (blah edition). 4 Responses to “NaNoWriMo Winner! November 28, 2012 at 2:34 PM. I know you wanted to “win”, and you did, even with hosting for the holiday! I knew you could do it! Look forward to reading it when you are ready.
Hello, 2013! | A Blog Of One's Own
https://tfullard.wordpress.com/2013/01/04/hello-2013
A Blog Of One's Own. In November and hosting the holidays up in the Poconos, 2012 went out with a bang! It was kind of a lot of work to do it twice (I was sick of washing dishes by the end), but I loved hosting. He’s a natural storyteller, and I think he’s going to have a lot of fun with the class. Lovey dovey at Christmas. On Monday, which we’re both really excited about. Todd loves the band, and I’m eager to see more jazz, which I like a lot but don’t know very well. There is no reason we can’t v...

The Beautiful Adventure Known as Life With Kids: December 2013
http://kristinnv.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html
The Beautiful Adventure Known as Life With Kids. Friday, December 6, 2013. My beautiful and wise daughter is 8 today! She lifts weights. She encourages me to do yoga with her. (I *try* to like yoga. She took the DVD from a friend of hers! I just want to tell her to enjoy life, to stop stressing out about stuff like abdominal muscles and gymnastics moves. I want her to be a little girl. Look at that TINY hand! She used to suck the "I love you" fingers just like Aunt Jorgie did. Gabe with his baby sister!

The Beautiful Adventure Known as Life With Kids. Monday, June 3, 2013. Surgery and Trying to Learn that the Other Shoe isn't Always About to Drop. Friday morning, Sofia had a minor surgery to remove a mole from her head. It was a surgery I wasn't thrilled with, mainly because it wasn't one I thought she needed. But after three different opinions that all ended in a "better to be safe than sorry" type of prognosis, we ended up having the surgery. And "Will it hurt? Gabe was really worried about his sister...

The Beautiful Adventure Known as Life With Kids. Monday, December 31, 2012. And We're Back to Regularly-Scheduled Programming. Gabe waltzes out of the bathroom the other morning with his testicles cupped in his hand to ask me, "Hey Mom, what's inside here? I turn to look at him. "What? I swear that last line that I just regurgitated to Gabe comes straight out of that book.). Are they called "balls" because they bounce? Gabe: But what's inside? If I took scissors and cut 'em, what would come out? January ...
The Beautiful Adventure Known as Life With Kids: School Mornings
http://kristinnv.blogspot.com/2013/04/school-mornings.html
The Beautiful Adventure Known as Life With Kids. Saturday, April 20, 2013. How I intend for mornings to go:. I wake up each kid with lots of kisses and hugs and cheerfully nudge them out of bed chirping, "Rise and shine! It's time to start a glorious new day! How most mornings *actually* go:. 6:30: attempt 2, I begin to beg. "C'mon guys, please. You have to get up, or you won't have enough time to eat breakfast.". 7:00: final attempt, I start to get annoyed and launch into a voice that apparently Gabe ha...

The Beautiful Adventure Known as Life With Kids. Wednesday, May 9, 2012. I'm getting so bad at posting. Work is crazy busy, and I seem to barely keep up with laundry at home. So, maybe I'll just post a few of my favorite recent photos. Here you go! Sofia is constantly drawing and reading! Gabe and me being silly, having a staring contest! Gabe and one of his best buds Luca. Alexandria and Jeremy and us at Dave and Buster's sans kiddos. Fun picture of us all dolled up to go to Brianna's bat mitzvah.

The Beautiful Adventure Known as Life With Kids. Wednesday, December 28, 2011. To say December has been jampacked with activities would be the understatement of the year! So I said, "C'mon guys, we've had a lot of junk the last few days - let's eat something sorta healthy," fully realizing the irony in this statement, based on our choices. Sofia piped up with, "Yeah and we don't want any junk in our trunks, do we Mom? Junk in our butts? Are those REAL horses? So, yeah, I drank the Kool-Aid a bit. ;) ...

The Beautiful Adventure Known as Life With Kids. Saturday, August 3, 2013. I have a 10-year-old! It's hard to believe you're 10 today! Whoever said "don't blink" wasn't kidding! You're growing up way too fast! And I have just a few things I want to tell you on this special occasion. :). What 4-year-old does that? You're such a kind and funny boy, and most of the time, you're protective of your sister (although of course you do your fair share of bickering at each other)! I love you, my little man! Here y...
