Tuesday, September 20, 2011. I love making granola. When my daughter's school had granola on the needs list for their fundraiser breakfast, I offered to make some. I had already made my Banana Bread. For the same breakfast, but there were some items that didn't get signups, so I decided to help some more. 5 cups whole oats. 1/2 cup wheat germ. 1/2 cup coarsely chopped walnuts. 1/2 tsp sea salt. Friday, December 30, 2011. Pear and Cranberry Pie. Pear and Cranberry Pie. 1 1/2 to 2 pears, depending on size, cored and sliced. 2 cups fresh cranberries. 1/2 cup granulated sugar. 1 1/2 Tbsp cornstarch. 1 tsp lemon juice. Stir the ingredients together in a bowl until the fruit is well coated and looks evenly distributed. Place in the uncooked pie crust and then put the lattice or crust cutouts on top. Bake at 325 for 40 minutes. Keep warm in the oven at 250 until ready to serve. Olive Oil Pie Crust.

Monday, July 20, 2009. I finally got a much-needed haircut today. I don't know if it was the pregnancy hormones or just the summer heat, but I decided a couple of weeks ago that it needed to go. We had such a nice day here in West Tennessee today, that Blair and I spent the morning out in the yard. He cut down a small tree for my parents, and I picked blackberries.
