the unencumbered life

Tuesday, June 30, 2015. When Greg returned to Alaska in May he began the laborious process of stripping out years of accumulated stuff—some very cool and useful, some just junk. He spent weeks tracing every electrical line and hose, cleaning tanks, filtering diesel, replacing batteries, tuning up, tinkering, puttering, making it work! And then it was my turn. Spent the better part of a month, “hon, could you move this? Do you need that? Might this work better? Folks, I dream big (and work hard to make it...

the unencumbered life: Granada

http://the-unencumbered-life.blogspot.com/2014/12/granada.html

Tuesday, December 2, 2014. We headed toward Granada looking for a place to lay our heads that was within an hour of the city. Tried Baza first. Didn’t like the “feel” of the town. Guadix was next on our list of possibilities. Yes, oh, yes. Checked into Hotel Mari Carmen, ate dinner, and went to bed. We decided that we would still go to Granada and Seville but we would only have enough time to “do” one landmark at each. Granada would be Alhambra. Seville would be the Cathedral of Saint Mary of the Sea.

the unencumbered life: April 2013

http://the-unencumbered-life.blogspot.com/2013_04_01_archive.html

Saturday, April 20, 2013. What a busy, full fall, winter, and spring it has been! We arrived back in the south in time for a good friend’s son’s wedding. Then made a trek. To TX to visit the folks. Greg and Dad went fishing…in the pictures. Those are all different. Fish We stopped in Little Rock, AR on the way home. I toured the Clinton Library and Greg tooled around in Heifer International’s Headquarters. Had a mini-reunion with some friends from UGA days. Where does 30 years go? Brags that I navigated ...

Tuesday, December 2, 2014. The computer wouldn’t boot and I got behind on my travel postings. Turns out there was a software malfunction that corrected itself upon our return stateside. Have no idea who reads these posts but they serve as excellent reminders to me of travels past, so even though I’m two weeks late here is the rest of Spain 2014. The posts are in chronological order. Chocolate Covered Cheerios: Bluebonnets

http://davidandally.blogspot.com/2014/04/bluebonnets.html

Tuesday, April 08, 2014. I LOVE bluebonnet season in Texas! We found a field close to our house and went last week with my sister to snap some pictures of our little ones and I LOVE how they turned out. Micah is turning into such a little man and his precious dimple really showed up in these pictures. Laurel is growing up way too fast, too. Lately, she is insisting on wearing a "Jumbow" (as she calls them) everyday. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Did Madmen Screw This Up? Heathcott Party of Six.

Chocolate Covered Cheerios: About

http://davidandally.blogspot.com/p/about-us.html

His loves coffee, music, and reading, especially all at the same time. Micah is our firstborn bundle of energy. It is hard to believe he is already 6! Riley is the often forgotten 5th member of our family. Though obnoxious at times, she has such a sweet disposition. I trust her fully with the kids and love to watch her try to interact with them. Her favorite hobby is hanging out under the kitchen table to see what kind of goodies she can find. Her favorite find is fruit loops. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Chocolate Covered Cheerios: Laurel is 4!

http://davidandally.blogspot.com/2014/04/laurel-is-4.html

Monday, April 14, 2014. I cannot believe that our little girl is already 4! She turned 4 on March 31st but I am a little behind. We had such a fun couple of days celebrating her! She is a lot easier to interview than her big brother and was so excited to answer all of the questions. 1 What is your favorite color? 2 What is your favorite toy? My pink magic wand. 3 What is your favorite fruit? 4 What is your favorite tv show? 5 What is your favorite thing to eat for lunch? 6 What is your favorite outfit?

Chocolate Covered Cheerios: Micah's TMNT Party

http://davidandally.blogspot.com/2014/03/micahs-tmnt-party.html

Monday, March 17, 2014. Here are the party details:. Invitations and party decorations designed by me. For the food, we served Turtle Power Pizza, Mutating Sewer Fruit, Cowabunga Cookies and Cake, Toxic Ooze Juice (gatorade) and Sewer water. I found a pinterest tutorial to make the kids masks out of extra large t-shirts. For favors, each kid got nunchucks (dollar store find) and a few little TMNT things. I love planning parties but the most important part is that the kids have fun and they definitely did.

Chocolate Covered Cheerios: Laurel's Pedi Party

http://davidandally.blogspot.com/2014/04/laurels-pedi-party.html

Monday, April 14, 2014. They put us back in a room that just had 4 chairs so we had the whole room to ourselves. Everyone there was so sweet and so good with the girls. I have never seen my girly girl so giggly and happy, she was in heaven! She stayed completely still when they told her to and only moved to sip the orange juice they brought her. I will not be surprised if she requests to do this shin dig again next year. We had so much fun celebrating our spunky girl girl! Did Madmen Screw This Up?
