The Adventures of Dave and Lucy. A Guy and His Dog. Frankenbird – Part 3 – The Anticlimax. My Currently Favorite Salad Dressing →. In my defense, I will say that business is pretty damned good: I am as busy as I have ever been and with work that is new and interesting. And I have done what I thought impossible: met a pretty great woman via OKCupid.com. Wasn’t going to happen again. In any case, I have my reasons for not hanging out with you, my 3 or 4 loyal readers. And they’re pretty good. Enter your em...

The Adventures of Dave and Lucy. A Guy and His Dog. Frankenbird – Part 2 →. Sometimes, despite my best intentions, things go so wrong that they become absurd and, therefore, funny. At least to me. Well, this is the first of three posts about one of those times. A Change of Heart. My mother called me, said that my sister, Kerry, had a special request for Thanksgiving. A Turducken. What the hell is a Turducken? I am absolutely not making that, I thought aloud. Still, time mellows many protests. She was fif...

The Adventures of Dave and Lucy. A Guy and His Dog. Okay, so, another dear friend has died. That is two in nine months. Mike was another guy I had known for over thirty years. He was a quiet, humble guy who had a love of history and who made fine … Continue reading →. Stefado (also spelled Stifado). Thunder Jitters Last Night. I almost forgot: I made this Porchetta Pork Roast over the weekend. It is from a NYT recipe and is AMAZING! Make it. Make it now! You WILL have foodgasms. Mistura – Follow Up.

The Adventures of Dave and Lucy. A Guy and His Dog. My name is Dave. I was born in 1957, the year of the huge tail fins. That puts me at the tail end of the baby boom (chronologically anyway) and knee-deep into middle age at this point. This blog is about me and Lucy the Dog, the things we do, the things we like. A friend of mine says this is a lifestyle blog. Personally, I don’t think the name fits. The Adventures of Dave and Lucy. Proudly powered by WordPress.

Aji Lucento pepper | Kassenhoff Growers

Squash, Cukes Zukes. Posted by Tomato Gals. On Sep 19, 2014 in From the nursery. It has black seeds and soft, fuzzy leaves (. Is Latin for hairy) and is only known in cultivation, there are no wild varieties known. It will not cross pollinated with other species of peppers. Rocotos are apple-shaped and their growth habit is more shrubby. The Aji Lucentos we sell are ‘scramblers’. They hook their leaves around other plants or supports and make their way skywards. Ours is over 8 feet tall. So, whatever the...

The Adventures of Darwin
The Adventures of Darwin. Friday, September 17, 2010. Proud of my boy! Of course, he is fantastic with dogs, so that wasn't an issue. To see if this was something more than a fluke (and to get Darwin into a new place and out of our daily schedule of frisbee and play), we took him to Petsmart last night and he was the best that he has been there since he was a young puppy! That made my week. I am hoping to take him on a walk in an unfamiliar park this weekend to help boost his confidence. Wow Still a lot ...

The Adventures of Dave and Bob | learning to ride and enjoy a recumbent bike
The Adventures of Dave and Bob. Learning to ride and enjoy a recumbent bike. This blog is about how and why I chose to ride a recumbent bike (Bob), my experience of making the transition from upright bike to recumbent, and some of the journeys / adventures I’m hoping to have with my new steed. The proud owner reclining on his new steed. Why Dave and Bob? As for the names… My own, David, is easily explained – it was donated by my parents. But Bob? I chose a recumbent bike because…. They look seriously cool.

The Adventures of Dave and Lucy - A Guy and His DogThe Adventures of Dave and Lucy | A Guy and His Dog
The Adventures of Dave and Lucy. A Guy and His Dog. My Currently Favorite Salad Dressing. Last year, I found myself at the Gold Coast Grill. I Googled around before experimenting (using only myself as guinea pig: I never try new things out on people okay, well almost never.) I didn’t find anything that looked right, so I combined some recipes (in my head) and came up with this:. 1/4 cup lemon juice. 1 /4 cup yogurt. 1 cup olive oil. 1 teaspoon dry oregano (rub it between your palms before adding). Okay s...

theadventuresofdavetherabbit | Trying to get fitter rather than fatter!
Trying to get fitter rather than fatter! I am neither a rabbit, nor am I called Dave. Janathon day 11. A very blustery day. January 11, 2015. January 11, 2015. Unfortunately it was only when I had left the relatively sheltered area of the village protected by houses that I realised just how cold and strong the wind was, and by then it was too late to turn round and go back home. To sum up I managed my two miles today in 28 minutes which included 3 minutes running and a very strong wind! January 10, 2015.

THE ADVENTURES OF DEATH TOE | – dealing with some kind of small vessel vasculitis and digits that really want to die… Featuring Death Toe!
In which Kath is officially celebrating a year of vasculitis! Sorta/kinda… OK, maybe not celebrating :/ Acknowledging? Kath is confused about her mental state, has just had a whole load more drugs, and is trying hard to deal with using the Oxford comma :/. Kath gets up close and personal with the sofa; being home is exhausting and being ill is both very frustrating and incredibly complicated to organise. * *Lots of sweary ranting… and a beautiful pic of Death Toe remnants* *. 8211; to get TWO SHOES ON!
