Since I signed up two years ago with Globe’s nemesis, Smart Wireless, I am due for the retention program of Smart. This should be interesting since for both companies, I have the P1,200 plan. The Adventures of an Average Consumer. June 26, 2010 at 4:38 pm. I am a cynic…it’s true. We have a perfectly working cable connection at home. Everything is just fine. A few months ago, SkyCable. It’s supposed to make the reception clearer, have additional programming capabilities, etc. They said to call to get a free digibox. We never called. We were just so content with what we had. Was that a veiled threat? Did the signal go out to convince the hardliners to give in? If so, WHY? So, we called SkyCable.

The Adventures of an Average Consumer. So I lost my job 2 years ago…until then I never realized that I was the ultimate consumer. A frequent victim of tv advertisement, I would rush out to buy the latest stuff in big packages…only to leave them unused when they do not meet my expectations. The amount of stuff I gave away and threw out was enough to fill a 10-foot container van! This site is a log of the journey to my becoming an average consumer. Hopefully, a smart one! She was wearing a pink dress that apparently showed a little too much skin and was quite provocative. As far as I know, Universities are pretty public.
