Climbing 101: Smelly Climbing Shoes | The Average Climber

https://theaverageclimber.wordpress.com/2016/11/23/climbing-101-smelly-climbing-shoes

Climbing 101: Smelly Climbing Shoes. November 23, 2016. OK, so this applies to a lot of climbers….climbing shoes stink. Mine are so bad they have their own room in my house, and have had to be hung off the car wing mirror. Boot bananas work for loads of people, the only issue is that after a few months mine started to smell of my shoes, this wasn’t pleasant. you can buy them here. At rock and run (best price I could find). That’s from two pairs of shoes….get scrubbing! Bicarb kills the bacteria in shoes.

Buckstones Bouldering | The Average Climber

https://theaverageclimber.wordpress.com/2016/11/26/buckstones-bouldering

November 26, 2016. It’s very rare that climbing cones second to anything else but today the simple joy of being out in the sun surpassed it. We toiled through snow, frost and thick fog to emerge into this…. It was so warm we were down to tshirts and still sweating. the ‘feels like’ temperature must have been around 20. Anyway, awesome to get out, beautiful scenery and two happy climbers. Climbing 101: Smelly Climbing Shoes. New Year and goal update. One thought on “Buckstones Bouldering”.

New Years in Spain  | The Average Climber

New Years in Spain. January 12, 2017. So, if you’re a climber and haven’t been to spain you need to go, it’s as simple as that. In winter the hugely popular region is the Costa Blanca for the weather and quality of climbing. Here’s a snapshot of my awesome week! Font d’Axia was a new place to me and pretty damn good, climbs of low to high grades in a cracking setting. Sierra de Toix is the place to go, single and multipitch of all grades on quality rock and good fixed gear. Easy going first day. I was wa...

New Year and goal update. January 6, 2017. So I hope you all had a fantastic Christmas, are having a positive new year. I’m out in Spain, c limping steadily but not pushing…. At the beginning of winter I said I’d set some goals, I’ve now climbed 7a, badly, done a v7/8 boulder problem, both indoors mind. And I also shoved up an E1 at the end of the year, climbed badly again. Time to be positive and push on. New Years in Spain. One thought on “New Year and goal update”. January 8, 2017 at 11:26 pm. Adventure, enlightenment, inspiration. A Taste of ‘Professional’ Climbing. July 28, 2016. July 28, 2016. So sorry about the delay since my last blog post – I’ve had a lot to do, and let’s just say a recipe I was planning to share didn’t quite go to plan…. Today I’ve made a Banana and Pomegranate Sponge, with a lemon icing – the addition of pomegranate makes this sponge beautifully moist, whilst also contributing a delicious flavour. I hope you like it! 2 bananas, mashed. Make sure t...

Christmas Baked Apples – GreenCooking

https://greencookingblog.wordpress.com/2016/11/15/christmas-baked-apples/comment-page-1

A 17 year old who is keen in creating new, exciting food. November 15, 2016. November 19, 2016. As a contrast to last week’s Summer Dessert recipe, this week I have decided to go for a true winter warmer – baked apples. However, this time, I have made this super simple recipe even better by adding a Christmas spirit with plenty of spice! Try with some Madagascan vanilla custard for a truly delicious dessert! Ingredients (to serve 4):. 6tbsp dried mixed fruit (sultanas etc.). Go wild with the spices!

I spent most of my time in Germany marvelling at how insanely green everything was. I am used to the steely bluish-green of eucalyptus leaves. I am used to the faded green of tired sun-bleached sugar cane. I am used to dark green sea-weed on white sandy beaches. On one perfectly green spring day, Dirtbagjens took me climbing in Holzen.

A view of the world from an average perspective. Friday, November 13, 2009. A woman was expelled from a Brazilian University a few days ago for "inadequate" clothing. She was wearing a pink dress that apparently showed a little too much skin and was quite provocative. As far as I know, Universities are pretty public. Also, since when did Brazil become a place where inadquate clothing was such a big deal? I'll let you decide for yourself if you think expulsion was necessary. Leave a comment if you like.
