http://thebakingbooth.com/2012/07/25/new-beginnings
For those who love to bake or those wanting to learn how to bake…. Well, I made my first gluten-free, dairy-free, egg-free, corn-free (almost) chocolate chip cookie from scratch yesterday! And the miraculous thing? It was actually good! My son’s head and stomach pains are still there, but much reduced, since he started his elimination diet. We’re trying to add some foods back in, with mixed success. it’s going to be a long road, but I’m very hopeful. A Solar Oven and and Learning to Bake. You are comment...

A Solar Oven and and Learning to Bake | thebakingbooth
http://thebakingbooth.com/2012/05/31/a-solar-oven-and-and-learning-to-bake
For those who love to bake or those wanting to learn how to bake…. A Solar Oven and and Learning to Bake. So this is my oldest son with his solar oven homework. Take a pizza box and glue foil along the bottom and sides. Lay black construction paper in the bottom. Cut a top flap that is an inch smaller than the top of the pizza box. Glue foil to the top flap. Tape plastic wrap over the opening with masking tape. Be sure to tape all four edges. Remember how a pizza box closes? 🙂 We shall see. But chan...

Well, I made my first gluten-free, dairy-free, egg-free, corn-free (almost) chocolate chip cookie from scratch yesterday! And the miraculous thing? It was actually good! Taste to bake goods, and tapioca flour (also called tapioca starch) is great for tenderizing. There’s more, but I’ll save that for later. Around the World in Food – Australia, part 1. Conquering My World, One Recipe at a Time. SRC: Lazy 4-Layer Deep Dish Pizza Dip and Flatbread. March 5, 2012. You know, today wasn’t supposed to have crept up on me at all… and then somehow it did! It’s already time for another Secret Recipe Club. I thought I was so on the ball because I made, ate and photographed my take on this month’s assignment from Donna at The Slow Roasted Italian. Who by the way just did THE cutest Elmo. I think her homemade sauce looks wonderful an would most likely be even bett...

Whole Wheat Banana Spice Muffins with Brown Butter Glaze. April 10, 2012 97. Do you know the muffin man? I do I do I do. Probably a little too well… especially after he delivered these muffins. If you know what I mean. And the worst part is that now? It’s all I ever want to eat for the rest of my life. I see no problem here. I succeed at taking something fairly healthy and dousing it in brown butter or a delicious brown butter-like substance. Right? Embrace it. It’s the easiest solution. So if you don...

From Valerie's Kitchen. Simple, seasonal home cooking. February 2, 2012. Many, many years ago, when my big grown boys were just little itty bitty cutie pies, people started figuring out maybe we should back off the red meat now and then. Recipes calling for ground turkey began to circulate like crazy. This Chili Cornbread Bake is one of the very first recipes I made using ground turkey and it has stood the test of time. What goes together better than chili and cornbread? Let’s get cookin’! Now grab a dee...

Wednesday, October 10, 2012. I have mixed feelings as I post this entry; I feel bad because I have neglected The Baking Blondie for officially over a year, I am excited because I am actually going to post something (incredibly delicious and EASY by the way), and also nervous! I have missed it :). Recipe credit: Kneady Sweetie ( http:/ www.kneadysweetie.com/2011/08/hot-chocolate-cookies.html. Found the recipe and link to her blog on the oh so amazing FoodGawker. 2 sticks room temperature butter. Shape int...
The Baking Bluenoser
Wednesday, 18 March 2015. Almond Toffee Double Chocolate Popcorn. While my family and friends back home are freezing to death in this brutal East Coast winter, up in Ontario, I am finally starting to see grass peeking out from beneath the melting snow. As much as I miss home on a usual basis, I must say that I do not miss that type of weather! Seeing cars in driveways that a completely hidden by huge mountains of snow, and knowing its the middle of March makes me incredibly sad and disheartened. Enough ...

The Baking Boys and Miss. Wednesday, January 21, 2015. T Is For Tarts. A tart shell is a blank slate, an empty canvas waiting for color and cream and crunch, an opportunity for a few fantastic forkfuls of heaven to end a meal or to get you through the afternoon or to destroy your however-many-weeks of carb avoiding ridiculousness. It's going from nothing to something that is difficult. The blank page carries with it a sense of responsibility, to do it right, to do it justice, to make it honest. M...The p...

Saturday, May 25, 2013. I'm back. i can't believe it has be so long since i posted but i finally have my kitchen back (kind of) so maybe this will become a regular thing again. let's hope. This might not be a complicated "recipe" but it is definitely a yummy one. i found it on pinterest. it is definitely not a replacement for homemade rolls but it is quick and easy which, in my opinion, is awesome. Spray a 9x13 pan with cooking spray. place rolls in a single layer. I would definitely be interested in try...
