the cowan fam: February 2014
http://thecowanfam.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html
Friday, February 14, 2014. Push toy shmush toy. Well, Ouisey is officially walking. In two months, she has gone from completely immobile to walking and beyond. So now that (she thinks) she can walk so well, she is inventing new uses for her push toys. Her favorite thing to do is climb on them. She is becoming a frighteningly good climber. Help! Her other favorite thing is to try and carry around the biggest object she can find. In this case, it was the push toy. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

the cowan fam: June 2013
http://thecowanfam.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html
Wednesday, June 19, 2013. Well, the month of May flew by with the school year wrapping up. We were out and about so much that I don't think I can do an "around the house" post this time. So, here are some miscellaneous snapshots from the past month. Last day of school! Hard to believe this little gal was still months away. From being born when the school year started! I promised Jane a popsicle after her last day of school. Not even a torrential downpour could deter her from this plan,. Happy half birthd...

the cowan fam: Gentry's Farm 2014
http://thecowanfam.blogspot.com/2014/11/gentrys-farm-2014.html
Sunday, November 2, 2014. One of our favorite fall outings is a trip to the pumpkin patch. It was unseasonably warm! Ouisey had a great time, but did not enjoy posing for this picture. For a brief moment, she did let Jane. Hold her hand, though. Hooray! Looking for cows on the wagon ride. The tractor was a little loud. Ear plugging runs in the family. Troughs full of corn and containers. genius! Don't forget the bathroom break. Jane is sooo strong! We let Daddy push the full wheelbarrow. My Job is Amusing.

Friday, April 12, 2013. Around the house: March edition. April is flying by, so I thought I'd better go ahead and post a few pics from March. Not a super eventful month. mainly trying to entertain ourselves during the remaining winter days. We are so happy to be playing outside now! Brought her breakfast over to sit by Nickel on the floor. An added bonus was that Richard can walk around an show her stuff while she eats, ha! Look who's big enough to sit in the Bumbo chair! He was beautiful. You can't ...

the cowan fam: First day of "school" 2014
http://thecowanfam.blogspot.com/2014/08/first-day-of-school-2014.html
Tuesday, August 19, 2014. First day of "school" 2014. Jane and Ouisey had their first day of school today! Jane is in Pre-K4 and Ouisey just started Parents' Day Out. It is so fun to have them go on the same days to the same school. Here are some pics we took before we left this morning. Trying to get a "real" smile out of Jane. Jane was happy to discover that she had two girlfriends in her class. Here she is with sweet Lilian, who helped Jane feel at home. September 13, 2014 at 10:49 AM.

the cowan fam: Goodbye mullet
http://thecowanfam.blogspot.com/2014/05/goodbye-mullet.html
Wednesday, May 28, 2014. Although I powered through the baby mullet phase with Jane, it was time for Ouisey's to go. Looking back at pictures, I think Ouisey's hair grew longer in the back and more quickly than Jane's. It was adorable in pigtails, but if you know Ouisey then you know that she did not keep them in very long. So, the haircut was inevitable. I think she likes it! Or maybe it was just the lollipop.). the cowan fam: Chickens
http://thecowanfam.blogspot.com/2014/05/chickens.html
Wednesday, May 28, 2014. The most interesting thing that happened in our family this spring is that we got six chickens. We started with one-week old little fuzz balls and now they are fully feathered and huge! Jane loved holding them when they were little, but alas, now they are too flappy and have really sharp claws. Here are some pics that show how they grew in a few short weeks, and how much Jane loved them! Four weeks old. the most awkward phase in my opinion. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

the cowan fam: May 2013
http://thecowanfam.blogspot.com/2013_05_01_archive.html
Friday, May 3, 2013. Around the house: April edition. We took advantage of warm days this month to plant our garden (and rainy days to help it grow). So far the lettuce and zinnia seeds are taking off beautifully, as are the tomato, squash and pepper plants we bought. Randomly, the cucumber plants died, despite getting the same treatment as everything else. no idea. Pinky" is keeping watch. Rainy days call for more indoor fun. Dressing up and jumping are two of Jane's favorite options. McClain's One Year...

the cowan fam: November 2014
http://thecowanfam.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Monday, November 3, 2014. Ok, costume time! Sometime in August, I'm pretty sure, we received a catalog full of Halloween costumes. Jane saw Elsa. The phenomenally popular Disney ice queen, on the front cover and her mind was made up. The costume was rather expensive, and I don't really like buying costumes anyway, so I set out to make one. It took longer than I'd like to admit, but turned out pretty well in the end. Thank goodness I had this drawing from Jane to guide me! Sunday, November 2, 2014. We let...
